Ordered this originally because we couldn’t tell what was it in the menu and it turned out to be cooked salmon with mentai! The salmon was quite soft, and paired well with the mentai :-)
Had the champion floss maki and immediately regretted not ordering the 8 piece!!! Was an interesting mix of floss with roe and salmon. It’s priced at $9.90 for 4, and $16.90 for 8 which is quite reasonable as well
Rainbow?
The bowls are called “rainbow” due to the colourful vegetables and ingredients toppings, ranging from crabstick (red), tobiko (orange), onsen egg, corn (yellow), edamam, seaweed and spring onions (green). The Yuba Hut Unagi Bowl is my favourite combination, with a sizable slab of succulent unagi (Japanese sea eel) on a bed of soba and greens.
The eel is first pan-fried then glazed with tare sauce which provides that sweetish-savoury taste; the texture thick and sufficiently moist.
It is best paired with soba tossed with goma sauce (Japanese sesame) which has a nutty and rich-earthy flavour which doesn’t over-shadow the eel.
Other than its newest outlet at Potong Pasir’s The Poiz Centre, you can find the modern Japanese restaurant at Heartland Mall, Hillion Mall, Bishan Junction 8, Northpoint City and White Sands.

It comes in a set of 4 or 8s and is on 1 for 1 promotion. Salmon is a tad too thin but the aburi taste was on point. Is quite for it for the price of $8.9 for 8 pcs.
Fuss free casual japanese store. Choice is quite limited so we got ourselves a salmon aburi don. A bowl of japanese rice topped with aburi torched salmon.
The Salmon Aburi Don and the Spicy one was slightly blend tasting and hence disappointing this time.
But I remembered their Mentaiko Makis to be amazing and they have never fail to be!
