Braved the heat and waited patiently in line for over 20 minutes for a standard bowl of YTF soup today!

Each bowl comes with a 10-piece mix of fishballs, tofu and fried beancurd rolls with handmade fish paste in their winning soya bean-based soup that’s light yet full of flavour! 🙆🏻‍♀️

First time visiting People’s Park Food Center post-renovation and went back for the old favorite Yong Xiang Xing Dou Fu 永祥興豆腐! Despite the long queue formed way before it’s open for business, service was quick and you can get this simple bowl of comfort at $6.

While you can’t choose the ingredients unlike most yong tau foo stalls, the variety and loaded portion (10 pcs) here will leave your tummies satisfied. The clear soup base is flavorful yet light, complementing the deep fried items, bouncy QQ fishballs and tofu. Tofu can be hit & miss for YTF but I can guarantee theirs is fresh with a silken texture and accompanied by a decent portion of fish/meat paste - definitely my favorite item!

They do not come with carbs options like rice or noodles, so you’d have to order that from other stalls!

Yong Xiant Xing is an institution at People's Park Complex FC. There is always a long lunchtime queue but it moves along pretty fast.

At $5 per bowl, you get around 10 pieces of freshly made tasty yong tau foo in a clean, flavourful and sweet broth. You don't get to choose the ingredients and yes, they don't serve noodles or rice with it. But it's amazing how they made this simple dish so good.

Yong Xiang Young Tou Fo, flavourful soup with silky smooth tofu, bouncy fishballs, deep fried Beancurd.
My fav is the deep fried Beancurd.
No beehoon, no noodle, just YTF.
💰$4.5

there were ~45 ppl in the queue on a saturday and we queued for abt less than 30mins. quite generous with the ingredients and really tasty though overall on the oily and saltier side. we enjoyed the homemade beancurd but i think i prefer bainian for it’s lighter soup (iirc)

This stall has really long queues, but it moves pretty quickly. While the ingredients are decent (I felt that the tofu was the nicest out of everything), we don’t really get the hype. I did find the soup rather flavourful, but I doubt I’ll be heading back, given that there are better ytf stalls in Chinatown.
