Noodles were quite springy, but sauce was quite average, and was a little dry bc there’s a lot of noodles. Had to add some soup. Charsiew looks dry but it’s fine, it’s very lean but not tough, not exactly a charsiew but more like lean pork slices. The soup wantons were slippery smooth, while the fried ones were very crunchy. Filling is decent. There’s quite a bit of veg too, compared to the miserable 2-3 pieces of veg at many places.
Portions were pretty substantial, definitely very value for money. Otherwise I think it’s an average wanton mee stall, every component is fine but nothing really stands out. Can try if you don’t know what to go for at whampoa, but not a must eat! Maybe the shrimp dumpling would be more outstanding!
Ordered a box of ready to eat fried shrimp dumplings through group buy.
