Have given this place a miss many times because it’s always only a quarter full. Being Singaporean, I rationalize that if there’s a queue, means it must be good, right? And the opposite applies. #fomonation

So anyway, no idea what possessed me to try this today but it was LEGIT GOOD. Let’s break it down into the individual components.

1. Grilled pork: Well seasoned, juicy and moist.
2. Radish/Carrots: Well-pickled for a touch of acidity.
3. Vegetables: Hallelujah they chop their lettuce up and boil their tau gey for carnivores like me.
4. Spring rolls: This was the only so-so part of the dish. But on the plus side they included yam as part of the filling which brought back memories of eating along the streets in HCM.

Lastly, parts 1 to 4 were topped off with some seriously crispy shallots and peanuts. 🤪

Yep, I’ll be back pho sho.

A sister brand of Saigon Baguette, I travelled all the way from the end of the east to savour this yummylicious bowl of pho! In my opinion, the best pho. Even better than Long Phung, Mrs Pho, etc.

Located at the corner end of Central basement, this Vietnamese joint serves pretty authentic and cheap Vietnamese food. Beef combination pho ($6.90) was not too bad, spring roll ($4) is not bad too but what I like the most is their banh mi ($6.80) because it reminded me of those that I had in Vietnam. I'll totally come back for their banh mi!

A find at Clarke Quay Central basement - the grilled minced meat was very flavourful, tad sweetish, & freshly grilled. Full of yums! Fried Spring Rolls really reminded me of ones I had in Vietnam, came stuffed with minced meat & yam! Definitely coming back here again! ($7.90)
