Price is acceptable but the food wise is slightly on the bland side.
The crispy chicken is good but would be great if the spiciness can be greater. 红油抄手 is not spicy at all and the dumplings skin is on the thicker side. The soup for the mee sua taste good but light, quite suitable for elderly and kids.
For instagram fans, dishes are pretty instagrammable, comes in cute jug and desserts nicely arranged.
Warm yam pastry with vanilla ice cream: great for older folks who doesn't fancy cold sweet dessert.
Yeah. Restaurant that sell Taiwan street food. The crispy fried chicken was nice but it will be better if able to choose spiciness level. The marinated minced pork rice is normal.
Just in time for Chinese New Year, Typhoon Café has launched the Rainbow Dessert Yu Sheng at $38++ or a top-up of $30++ with every order of the Tiger-licious Set. This Tiger-licious Set ($68++) is good for 4 pax and it comes with seven dishes and drinks with key highlights include the popular Taiwan street snack, Golden Chicken Fritters, a moreish Crab Scrambled Egg White with Tobiko and my pick for the evening, the Steamed Barramundi in Hong Kong Sauce. The fish dish comes steamed and it was tender to the bite and goes well with the savoury soy sauce mixture.
Diners can top-up for the Rainbow Dessert Yu Sheng, a unique twist to the traditional lohei, as it is made up of a mixture of strawberries, lychees, mandarin oranges, raisins and crunches like nuts and cornflakes that will be accompanied with a sweet tangy sauce.
