My bf and I were hunting for coffee places in the Kovan vicinity and chanced upon this café which was thankfully open on CNY day 2!
Hereâs what we got:
⹠Iced café latte ($6)
âą Iced matcha latte ($6.50)
I had the matcha latte and it was thick and you can really taste the matcha powder and milk! Texture-wise itâs a little on the thicker side for my liking but itâs still a very decent cup of matcha latte. This is a Korean cafĂ© and they have mains and brunch items as well, would definitely come back to try them!
Pro-tip: Prices of the drinks are the same on Grab so if youâre just getting drinks to go, order them via Grab and use the self-pick up Grab offer to get the drinks at a cheaper price!
Almond croissant was pretty decent. Do give the yuzu cold brew cream a try.
This was bomb. Bomb because we didn't expect this to be the crowd's favourite. Quite an innovative take on sweet potato fries that actually worked well; crisp sweet potatoes that are naturally sweet and earthy that matches well with the umami flavour that Mentaiko is known for.
Reminded me of army stew and this was enjoyable. I probably took a little too much soup from my friend who was having this as her main. It went really well with my bibimbap. Nothing beats rice with soup!
This came with an assortment of ingredients such as spicy chicken carrots, spinach, mushrooms topped with gochujang dressing and sesame oil. I enjoyed it but felt like a dish that can be easily replicated at any Korean resto.
