[CLOSED] Tokidon

It's beef bowl is indeed smokey, with it being slightly overwhelmed by the teriyaki sauce. The cod fish bowl was good too! A little taken aback by the miso soup with beef essence too. (On burpple one for one! ) Love the veggie ratio here!

We like that it opens till 9pm near CBD, the pork bowl was great and very very filling. I find the Wagyu beef too tough to bite but my friend enjoyed it. Both meats are slightly charred. Worth it with Beyond redemption!

Used the 1-for-1 promotion at Tokidon. It’s a small restaurant with a selected menu. Being the truffle whore I am, I dived straight into the Truffle Tender Don. I was definitely impressed by the aroma wafting in the air, tempting me to take a bite before I was done with the photos. One of my biggest concerns with rice bowl is the surplus of sauce which I feel ruins the overall flavor of the dish, but there wasn’t such an issue here. The only complaint I have is that the beef was slightly dry. It was still tender, just not juicy enough!

Got the GyuDon 2.0 and had high expectations for it!! But boOoo the meat was quite tough, and had this distinct charred taste which I don't particularly like. While there were quite a lot of condiments (some bread crumbs lookalike on the rice) scattered over the dish, the rice bowl still felt kinda bland 😰

$16.9. This was not bad also! The meat was less tender but seems like they gave more haha. But also this time i realized their dinner menu is different from their lunch menu haha

$16.9. Tried this cause beforehand i’ve been only getting the beef but this is not bad too! Quite tender, just a bit charred haha but also comes w the egg which was nice.
