From the Burpple community

Operating since 1968, this stall draws a queue of up to 45 minutes during lunch.
.
Their rendition is 'wet', with a rich robust prawn and pork stock gravy, along with egg, that infuses the yellow egg noodles and rice vermicelli noodles, soft and slippery with savoury sweet salty eggy flavour.
.
The crisp bean sprouts lend contrasting texture and vegetal sweet notes, while tender deshelled shrimp and springy squid lend sweet savoury flavour.
.
Small bits of crunchy pork lard burst with savoury salty notes, and the drizzle of lime juice lends zesty tangy sour flavour. Less wok hei / breath of the wok comparatively though.

Imho. Stock is awesome flavorful. I do miss when they used to serve them on opeh leaves!

For the Hokkien Mee connoisseurs out there, you would know that we can broadly categorise them into either dry, or wet Hokkien Mee. As a fan of the saucey goodness, I was delighted to find that Come Daily serves them wet! A piping hot plate of mee ($5) with sufficient moisture probably due to the steaming of the noodles, that made it so soft such that it almost melts in your mouth.

So many good reviews on this place, thus decided to try it.

Was expecting a long wait and queue, but was surprisingly able to get my plate within 15mins on a Sunday morning.

This was certainly a great plate of hokkien mee, but my expectation was much more higher, after reading and watching so many fantastic reviews.

Still a great plate thou, sambal chilli was quite good, noodles was quite silky.

The hokkien mee when reached our estate, still wet and warm.the seller pack separate chilli and lime for us too.
First, I was worried it will be dry, because we placed order for 100 packs, but it's not.
So highly recommended.

The lard was super crispy and the hokkien mee is the wet version where you can taste the fragrant broth. 🤩🤩👏🏻 The wok hei taste not as strong as Swee guan HKM but nonetheless still a good plate! 🤤🤤⁣
