Both sides are good for 1-2 pax. Nothing special though the potatoes were served really creamy. The asparagus is a bit overcooked to my liking. Would have enjoyed it better if it was served together with the mains (or just a few mins earlier), as the potatoes have become a bit clumpy already when the steak was served
To be fair, we have ordered the cheapest steak cut so the expectations couldn’t be too high. But this didn’t make the cut 🥲 requested med rare for the doneness and got it, but it’s small (ordered 200g), thick, and dry. It was served with an oven-roasted garlic which made it a bit enjoyable, but still not redeeming. As the atas version of Aston’s, was expecting the food to be better too, but 🤷🏻♀️ also, waiting time is too long (prolly >1h)
This was the first item served and it was not bad at all. It kind of set the expectation, which just went down the hill. This was served with truffle butter. One bread for each main ordered

Cooked to a vibrant pinkish hue, the heartily portioned, juicy signature Dry Aged Bone-in Ribeye ($19/100g, min order of 400g) is aged for at least 30 days in the restaurant. It is served on a tray that's sent straight to your table and cut into strips before being served. Each piece is juicy and flavourful due to natural enzymes breaking down during the aging process, and I personally feel the meat doesn't require additional sauces to pair with. 😋
With an unbeatable price for such a cut of steak, along with other offerings on the menu here, this is one fancy restaurant you could be at for a fulfilling dinner with loved ones or for a special ocassion. 🥰

I thought this was really expensive at 13.90( if I remember correctly). However, that thought of mine was casted out when I first drank it. You could feel the mushroom bits in it as well as sense the truffle oil that was used for this dish.
For 100g. Why would a steak be served well done I have no clue, but the medium parts were quite tender. Interestingly the funk from the dry aging came through more prominently in the well done slices so let's hope cooking it well done was a deliberate move
The main course I chose was the Ranch Open Burger - the patty was delicious & moist, & the bun was the perfect fluffy texture! That's all that matters tbh, but then they had to add a runny egg on top of the patty which made it amazing. 😍
I definitely want to return to try the other set lunch options - Beef Stroganoff, & Seafood Marinara Pasta.

The soup of the day, corn soup, wasn't some watered down Campbell soup type of nonsense. Actually tasty, though not many physical corn bits inside which I would've loved.

This area is very quiet during weekday lunch times, which could explain the $15++ lunch promo. Not complaining at all, though, as I'm pretty impressed by the 2-course set lunch here. I was surprised to find that Ranch is owned by Aston's - wow, how far they've come.

A starter that is a must try at @theranchbyastons was the Homemade Crab Cake ($18).
They use premium crab meat in the patty and it was really a delight accompanied with the refreshing avocado ice cream. One of my favourite elements on this dish was the roasted red capsicum ketchup that went so well with the crab cake 🦀 #theranchsteakhouse #theranch #astons #clarkequay #fortcanning

This was a sight to behold as it featured a hazelnut chantilly, feuilletine tuiles and a salted crumble. Paired with a swiss chocolate ice cream, this dessert was like a deconstructed and elevated ferrero rocher.

The Creme Brulee ($12) from @theranchbyastons has gotta be one of my favourite desserts as of now.
It was my first time having a sour creme brulee which was so refreshing. The tanginess from the passionfruit went so well with the heavy creme brulee, I couldn’t have asked for a better combination 🤤 #theranchsteakhouse #cremebrulee
This 700g of Porterhouse T-Bone ($15/100g, min. order 700g) was enough to feed about 2-4 pax and came with a choice of one sauce - Bearnaise, Perigord Truffle, Red Wine or Twin Peppercorn. Honestly, the steak was already so amazing on it’s own but I do recommend the Perigord Truffle sauce.

Citrus Cured Salmon is good, wished it is not a sharing plate.
Adore the Beef Carpaccio. Beef is so tender, literally melts in the mouth.
The octopus is so tender as it is twice cook, sous vide then grilled. Just love the tenderness.
Lamb is nicely grilled though can be gamy for some. But Just adore the flavour.
Last but least the Pan Fried Barramundi, speechless. Just eat.
