Aroy Mak!

Thai street food at its finest at an affordable price and generous servings.
Would highly recommend this dish on the menu if you love authentic Thai noodles!

Featured here are the following food items:

Kra Pow Chicken Rice: Stir how ried minced chicken with fluffy steamed jasmine rice. I love how the spicyness level was just right, not overly spicy. Enough sauce was given too! Comfort food!

Pad Thai: This is the classic phad thai dish with sliced chicken and egg! I love how the pad thai still tasted good and was springy even though it was a takeaway order.

Creamy Tomyum Springy Noodle: This tom yum soup is hot and sour! Made with the perfect blend of aromatic herbs and spices. Crispy golden wanton skin is also given to top off the noodles! For takeaway orders, the noodles and crispy golden wanton skins are all separately packed!

Flame Grilled Ayam Legend: For this dish, a marinated and seasoned chicken thigh is grilled to perfection! Very juicy and tender! Do remember to dip it with the chilli sauce provided, it was a super good combination!

Fried Chicken Skin:For the once in a while indulgence, do try this crispy chicken skin! It was super flavourful, and it reminded me of KFC chicken! Love the marination used for the fried chicken skin!

Hot Steamy Sangkayaa:this is my FAVOURITE food item to get whenever I am in Thailand. And I am glad to be able to enjoy this in Singapore too! The bread was soft and fluffy! Super love the luscious kaya dip that is coconut and fragrant! I only wish there were more kaya dip option choices like those in Thailand :P

Cha yen and Cha Keow Yen: All thai meals aren’t complete if you don't get a iced thai tea! I like how the sweetness level was just right, and it was not super diluted!

The only similarity to the original boat noodles from Bangkok is the size of the portions. Taste wise, the beef Pathumtani noodles, the tom yum noodles and Ayutthaya noodles are very different from what you get in Bangkok.

Their milk teas, both the original and the green version, taste a little too much like bubble tea, especially if you order the less sweet version. Mango sticky rice was served with very ripe very fibrous mango and the coconut milk sauce states like it came from a Tetra Pak.

The fried chicken skin was a tad too salty but otherwise acceptable for its crispy bite. Crab meat omelette rice was served with a very flat omelette with a few chucks of crab meat. None too impressive.

Overall, if you want a quick meal, sure. Do not come with expectations of authentic Thai Boat Noodles.

Each bowl was $1.50 and we ate 4 bowls each! the chicken was a little salty but really liked how crispy it was. There were 4 different flavours and we only liked the creamy Tom yum (which was not creamy). The others were a little sour and weird. The Thai iced tea was really gooood too as the tea wasn't very strong and it was not too sweet!

The way to eat: leave it longer (don't eat it immediately) so that the rice noodle soaks up all the soup!

Visited the vivo outlet, believe it is new. Food was alright, loved the pad thai. All was good until I was about to leave. A young waitress came to clear the table without asking if we are done, then spilled the remaining boat noodles gravy on me and my denim jacket. Without a word of apology or any recovery action, she continued to clean the table and I was left scrambling for tissues and wet wipes. The manager didn't manage the situation well and left me hanging. Very bad service or training in my opinion.

Food was good, portion was really small, like a one mouth kinda bowl at $1.50+
Can be pricey if you are a big eater!
Must order their snack sampler! Their crunchy thai popeyes tempura is aroy mak!
