Free delivery on foodpanda. Ordered the buddy meal ($38)which consist of:
1) half roast chicken : 8/10 the mushroom sauce damn delicious. Chicken roasted to perfection. Not dry at all.
2) crab meat pasta : 7/10 small portion. Crab meat is fresh.
3) mashed potato : 6/10 too salty for my liking
4) 2 can soft drinks
Would personally prefer if the linguine was more al dente as this was a tad too soft for my liking. Pasta was a little wet too, which was strange as this was supposed to be an aglio olio. Nevertheless, the sautéed crabmeat were fresh, juicy with a delicate mouthfeel. What's more, it's de-shelled crabmeat, making it a convenient and fuss-free indulgence! Topped with spicy cod roe sauce that added a pleasant umami note with a mild lingering spiciness, the pasta also comes with a perfectly poached egg (swipe right to view) that possessed a super runny, flowy vibrant yolk😍 .

The duck confit had a crisp and slightly charred skin that comprised of an interior of tender, succulent duck meat which surpassed my expectations. Almost on par with the one I had at Saveur, which is still my favorite duck confit to date. The mash potato is smooth, creamy with a melt-in-the mouth texture that I adore 😋. On the downside, the red wine sauce turned out to be the typical brown gravy just lightly spiked with red wine - which was barely detectable and only a faint lingering note towards the end. Nevertheless, it was still a good complement to the creamy mash and duck leg, if alcohols aren't your thing.

Surprisingly a good dessert that surpassed expectations despite the simple outlook. The banana compote is soft, mushy with a characteristic fruity sweetness whereas the apples were slightly crunchier, with a tinge of caramelised sweetness. The oat crumbles were crisp, crumbly, a pleasant crunch factor to the softer elements. Vanilla ice cream was smooth, creamy and milky, a decent albeit pleasant addition to the warm dessert .

We had the Braised Pork Belly set and Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff set.
WAITING TIME: 5 min for salad and drinks to arrive
WILL WE RETURN? If the menu changes and tickles our fancy
SPECIAL LOVE FOR ❤️: The salad • the affogato at $3 extra, was really worth it - it's a vanilla ice cream with pistachio bits • Had the whole restaurant to ourselves from 5-6pm
SERVICE: 1) Plate was chipped. 2) The young girl who took our orders, and the other young girl who served the food both did not inform that the soup will be replaced by salad. 3) All in all, still better service than Zakka next door (under same parent company).
