The poached eggs look bare but that's because I asked for the hollandaise sauce to be on the side. They were perfectly cooked and served with my choice of smoked salmon (you can have bacon or ham if that's your preference). The most memorable part of this Eggs Ben for me was the muffin itself. Made in-house, it's really soft and light.

On my maiden visit to the sister bakery cum cafe of Freshly-Baked by Le Bijoux, this was one of the brunch sets I tried.
The waffles are very different from any other I have come across. Crisped on the outside, they are thin with a soft, slightly chewy and mochi-like texture. I'm guessing this is due to the cheese that's mixed into the batter as mentioned by the manager. It's probably also why there's a slight savoury note too. I have to admit they aren't my favourite type of waffles but they're decent in their own way. Served American diner style with creamy scrambled eggs and five skinny strips of bacon, along with a drink of my choice, I do think as a brunch set, it is good value. Especially because even if I choose something other than a soft drink, regular coffee or tea, like a hot cappucino or latte for instance, there's no extra charge. However, for something cold like an iced mocha, there's a top-up cost of $1.

Unlike typical BBQ wings--which can be quite dry, the Bak Kwa wings were juicy and tender.
What's more, the Bak Kwa flavor seeps into the skin giving it a sweet savory flavor which makes it stand out from the usual fare.
The traditional "chicken rice" chili also plays a supporting role in enhancing the whole flavor and sealing the deal for me.

Corn Nachos piled with house smoked pulled pork and drizzled with mozzarella cheese, olives and chopped chives baked to perfection.

For $13 as a side, the hearty portion might be overly generous. Would recommend 2-3 person to share with your mains.

Wiped the bread basket clean. I think I'm in love!

Food for the soul at reasonable prices. The bread is possibly the best I've eaten in Singapore!
