This new Halal cafe on Bali Lane delivers coffee made with a 4-bean coffee blend. Strong, fragrant, and flavourful, a cuppa would be great in the morning, or as a much needed pick-me-up in the middle of the day. Their eggs benedict also comes recommended. As Tastemaker Veronica says, "Instead of the typical English muffin/brioche base, their eggs were served on Turkish bread which worked nicely too. Hollandaise sauce was very slightly sweet, flavourful and not overly creamy. As for the salad, they dressed it up with the ever-popular Japanese sesame sauce."

People working in the CBD, here's a spanking new Scandinavian deli to add to your list of lunch spots. Specialising in bespoke open-faced Scandinavian sandwiches, Smør is sure to become a hit among the breakfast/ lunch crowd. Choose your preferred kind of bread to hold delicious toppings like smoked salmon, roast beef with caramelised onions, Danish butternut pumpkin, or shrimp with lemon mayo. Perfect for breakfast or a light lunch!

After a day of shopping in Town, it's time to settle down for a hearty yet affordable meal. For $24.90++, you get access to a BBQ buffet offering a variety of Korean favourites including beef bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, japchae, fried potato, and the like. Also try their fruit salad in Sprite for a unique and refreshing thirst-quencher! Believe Tastemaker Xing Wei when he says, "Definitely one of the better options that boasts authenticity and value in town!"

Following the success of their Caribbean restaurant Lime House, the folks behind this popular food institution decided to set up Singapore's first Caribbean deli, serving dressed-down versions of the restaurant's popular menu items. Situated in Telok Ayer, Lime Deli offers easy grab-and-go items for takeaways. Meals are affordable, and they also have breakfast, tea time, and early dinner promotions so you don't have to break the bank for delicious Caribbean food. Do make it a point to try their jerk beef burger or jerk chicken!

With their flagship stall located in the depths of Pasarbella at Turf City, Dutch Colony has kindly opened up in the East for all east-siders to enjoy. Besides serving consistent, great coffee, this Frankel Ave branch also has an exciting menu of Coffee Lab workshops. These include classes focused on barista appreciation, latte art, coffee degustation and food pairings. You'll want to head down to this absolutely stunning spot for a cuppa and some breakfst, east-siders rejoice!

Newly opened Sarah's The Pancake Cafe distinguishes itself from others by being Muslim-run. Serving sweet and savoury pancakes along with other mains like spaghetti, this is a great spot for brunch. Tastemaker Xing Wei says, "try the Ala Dol; their specialty which is a fusion of both Chendol and Pancake, which is pretty out-of-the-box and innovative. Another great dining option that can be considered if you are in the Simpang Bedok area"!

With swealtering heat overtaking the island, the recent emergence of ice cream parlours hardly comes as a surprise. Catering to ice cream lovers in the North, Holy Cow offers a range of bold and exciting flavours that keep customers coming back for more. Their authentic Mao Shan Wang is strong yet sweet, and the honeycomb is definitely a crowd pleaser. Ever had Vietnamese drip coffee ice cream or ice cream with potato chip bits? Looks like this new ice cream parlour is a must-go!

If you're unable to go all the way to Hong Kong to have an awesome bo luo bao, a simple journey to the far west of Singapore (Jurong Point) will do the trick. As Tastemaker Rachel Xie says, "perfectly crispy, sugary crust moulded to soft, slightly buttery bread. Complete this classic HK breakfast with the finely balanced yuan yang". If you want something more substantial for lunch, go for the noodles with luncheon meat and egg, a classic cha chan teng option using noodles imported from HK!

This new addition to Everton Park's impressive list of great cafes and bakeries boasts intruiging ice cream flavours like lychee rose, red velvet, honey rosemary, pineapple malibu and miso gula melaka. Flavours change periodically, so prepare to be surprised! Also expect the texture to feel less creamy and more slushy-like. Get your scoops on their crispy, airy waffles if you desire - they're reminiscent of an old-school biscuit to some.

Most known it for their luxurious desserts, Antoinette now gives you good reason to come by for lunch with their newly-launched all-day menu. Drop by any of their three outlets for a glorious lunch with your best friend or your mum. If you feel like something light, go for The Grand Garden of Antoinette, a gorgeous version of a roast duck salad that makes you feel like a queen. For a hearty meal, the Crab Pomodoro will blow you away with its spicy white wine tomato sauce and chunky crab meat. Of course, don't you dare leave without ordering a dessert - especially the irresistible Strawberry Baba!

Former Campus Superstar participant Renfred Ng is the man behind this cool new ice cream parlour situated in Tanglin Halt. Specialising in homemade ice cream that boast signature flavours like the beautifully creamy Sicilian Pistachio, The Milky Way is off to a good start. Order some half and half waffles to go with your ice cream, and complete your experience with a cuppa brewed by Renfred himself. He may be young; but he sure is talented!

The Korean buffet here might well be the most affordable buffet we've seen in a while. At only $14.90++ for lunch on weekdays and $24.90++ for dinner, K.COOK makes a great place for dining in groups and eating till you drop without burning a hole in your pocket. With great value and a good selection, they're really bringing in the crowds - so be prepared to queue!
