Apricus Cafe is opened by the same folks behind Populus and one can expect some inventive fusion dishes on the menu. Starting off with light bites, the Tater Tots ($14) were one-bite flavour bombs for potato lovers like me. Infused with maple syrup, the potato bombs were crispy, salty, sweet and absolutely tasty.

The flavours of the Hummus & Pitta ($14) were quite unexpected with its combination of flavours and texture. Paired with foccacia bread, the spiced mash-up hummus was smooth and had a slight charred taste to it with a pinch of tanginess. Adding to the blend for textural contrasts were the crispy chickpeas and bits of pomegranate with pops of freshness and sweetness. Definitely a must-try!

Strong brew double ristretto, not acidic or bitter; not overly milky; love the latte art..

Smoky taste with light crunch; tossed with shio & brown butter mayo which is rich but not overwhelming; with pickled beetroot slices which aid in balancing out the taste; with bonito flakes & tobiko; addictive & good for sharing..

Well-grilled big size chicken leg with crispy skin, & meat that is tender & fall off the bone; the curry sauce is very rich & flavorful that tastes akin to fish curry sauce; tangy & sour which is appetising & addictive; felt the sauce is more complement to halibut than chicken though; with roasted potatoes & grilled okra; unique & well-executed dish worth a try..
