Hot & sweaty. Thatโs how I feel the entire day. ๐ฅต
Got a much-needed respite from this old school hawker stall โ A mountain of finely shaved ice, drizzled with sweet gula melaka and rose syrup and an endless swirls of evaporated milk for a creamy taste. ๐

The desserts are pretty authentic. My sister loves the tao sua. Personally I prefer the Cheng teng which is packed full of ingredient and is really soothing to drink.
Peaks and crags of finely shaven ice, stained with the lurid pink of rose syrup, the pearly white of condensed milk, and the final flourish of a spoonful of creamed corn, this is what my ice kachang dreams are made of. Buried under the avalanche of snow were chunks of grass jelly, red bean and even a stray longan. When it comes to this local dessert, less is more for me.
Taste: 3.5/5
Nice ice and it was really fluffy(after the uncle pressed it down, so just imagine before pressing). On top of a decent cheng Teng. Not bad for its price. Theres also this Small mochi-esque balls which were nice(idk if it's usually present in cheng Teng)
Damage: $1.50
Generous amount of youtiao ๐
Also love that it's not too sweet or starchy.
After finishing your meal at Adam Road Food Center, consider ordering this classic bowl of Cheng Ting to finish your meal. I personally like to go for the cold version but the warm one is also a popular choice. Very reasonable consider it has many ingredients like sweet potato, gingko nuts and all the other necessities for a good Cheng Ting.
