too hot to sit outside so sat indoor high tables. got aircon.

menu has changed. no more ondeh ondeh cake so tried coconut chendol cheesecake. subtle coconut subtle chendol. iced honey lemon is not bad for this weather.

Visited this on a Sunday noon. Just nice for high tea. It was rather affordable l, around 20plus ish for the high tea menu. Food was simple, but the satay was quite good! I like the oneh oneh cake too. Was quite surprised the cafe took up 3 levels of space! Just a little warm there.

The ambience here was really good but the cake was wayy to sweet for me😪

We often passed by this rooftop cafe whenever we have our shopping errands in Chinatown. A unique cafe situated in the bustling shopping district. One would be fascinated how it has a good view of the busy streets.

Quite fancy for the price, I think would be worth it since it is an Instagrammable cafe with it’s cute interiors. We ordered their “durian lava cake” - which I thought would have some chocolate on it.. “burnt cheesecake” which we find it too sweet; probably because it is the basque kind. For the drinks, the barista suggested their hot tea for a picture-worthy drink but since I’m not a tea lover I opted for their “blue butterfly tea” and the rest of my friends had papaya milkshake and caffee latte.

Overall experience it was 3/5, probably I’m not a tea person but the cafe is a good place to chill.

Chinatown might not be bustling with activities with the restriction of incoming leisure travellers, but it might also not be so easy to find a less crowded place to sip tea and relax over cakes and snacks.

Over at the junction of Temple Street and Trengganu Street, existed a pitstop called Sweetea Caffe which was located at the second and third storey of the gazetted shophouse. It was not only air-conditioned, but also offered a nice view especially from the third floor.

Although they had brought in their cakes from their own supplier, I was pleased with the Durian Lava Cake (S$7.80), which was rich in real durian flavours. They were also thoughtful to plate some fruits by the side to add a bit of acidity to balance the desserts a little bit.

Some diners might debate that durians should not be eaten warm, so the café did not nuke their cakes by too much. However, it was always possible to specify that you want the cake more chilled or runny, whichever your preference might be.
