Love this place for its authentic Italian fare. We only got to know that they made an exception for us to have the Sunday brunch when it was already discontinued the previous week. Service 💯✔️. Handmade pizzas on the spot, with fresh ingredients as toppings. They were not stingy with the cheese either. I have no idea what possessed me to order this. It's good but it's way too heavy! I enjoyed the first few bites but after a while, it gets pretty gelat. The dense gnocchi pasta were coated and tossed in a creamy Gorgonzola cheese sauce topped with walnuts. It's like a mac & cheese on steroids.
An oldie but goodie, this traditional cannoli at Sopra has been around since its launch (two year back) but is just as good as ever. We pick up the flaky pastry, and take a bite as it gently crumbles in our hands – signs of a good cannoli.
Inside its crisp shell holds ricotta cream dotted with chocolate rice and candied orange that adds a hint of citrus and zest, it's fruitiness preventing the dessert from falling into dense territory.
It's elegance with a touch of fun.
2 pax - ordered a pizza and ravioli salmon pasta course w 2 house wines a and the bill came up to close to $100. Pretty nice place but once the crowd gets loud, it's hard to speak comfortably without raising your voice.
Visually, the rustic tomato sauce appeared to be just that. But one bite and the prominent seafood flavour left me standing corrected. The two whole king prawns accompanied by smaller chunks echo the umami depths of the sauce, making every mouthful a delightful blast of flavour.
Can't do without my carbs. These thinly sliced spuds came kissed with the irresistible fragrance of garlic, which was further enhanced by actual roasted garlic chips. Stinky breath, but who cares?
