So Good Bakery (Asia Square)

Wow I am so impressed with the salt butter roll! It’s essentially a shio pan and it was really soft inside. The interior was sufficiently buttered with a small burst of buttery flavours when you sink ur teeth into the bread. The underside was super C R I S P - you can hear a crunch when u bite into it! Definitely my favourite item here :)

I love the pastries from so good bakery .

Especially they short crust egg tart.

But I find that service standards are declining and they broke the last straw today .

If you had to buy some pastries as a gift for a friend and requested for a suitable box ( slightly longer box) to present your pastries and was rejected .

This happens when the service staff shows you how unhappy they are by squeezing the pastries in a small box even though the slightly larger box was available .

The unhappiest experience I have had for the whole year . I haven’t complained openly about any food establishment but the many bad experiences at so good bakery at asia square has culminated into my need for expression today .

The cracked tart looks equally unhappy too .

Out of all the sea salt butter breads I have tried - I still like the ones from so good bakery .

A nice slight crusty exterior and a very soft and airy interior. It has an interesting hollow interior - just nice for customising your own condiments 😊 to pair with your bread .

Stuff some poached eggs and mashed avocado 🥑 inside and ... it’s like heaven .
