Tiramisu flavoured shaved ice that comes with a generous portion of red bean. Bite sized ladyfingers and panna cotta jegged up the overall presentation to deem it as a portion too huge for 2.
However, please do not be intimidated as the portion is really ok for 2 pax to share.
Taiwan's famous Yong Kang Street shaved ice treats.
A heap of shaved ice topped with yougurt and berry sauce together with banana slices, strawberry and blueberries. Light and refreshing appropriate as a post-dessert after a heavy meal.
Choosing from the 7 types of snowflake ice available was so difficult, I chose the easy way out and went with the one crowned 'Most Popular’. Topped on the mini hill of smooth creamy milk shaved ice were chewy sweet tapioca balls and spoons of aromatic Tie Guan Yin Jelly. The drizzle of black sugar syrup to top it all off helped to bring all the different elements together. It was refreshing and not cloyingly sweet but still satisfied my dessert craving well.
Also, good news fellow students, flash your student card and get any flavours in this single size at $4.90!
There's a student promo weekdays 12 to 5. 4.90 for a bo jio size shaved ice or smoothie. Shaved ice from mango, strawberry, matcha, etc. I recommend tie guan yin, with a delicate scent of tea amidst the sweetness. The ice here is finer than elsewhere. Mango shaved could be fuller bodied, and syrup sometimes fails to penetrate all the way. Ask if the fruits are fresh today. Prepare to feel cold, and it's best to bring someone to help you with the student deal. This is a full vegetarian place like sibling greendot and they say they don't use gelatin, so it should be Muslim friendly.
