Every Saturday night from 8-10pm, the tapas-heavy menu at this Spanish restaurant and bar gives way for the Viva La Vida buffet (RM108). Expect a smorgasbord of Spanish favourites that include the quintessential seafood paella — a pan of fluffy yet crusty rice, intensified by the fragrance of saffron. Appetisers run from hot to cold choices. We recommend the juicy and flavourful wagyu beef meatballs, along with salmon gravlax that refreshes with a subtle tanginess. When in Spain (or a Spanish joint), drink sangria! That, along with a slew of cocktails, wines and beer, are free-flow for the two hours of dining. Sentidos Gastrobar, previously Sentidos Tapas, is a Spanish restaurant that’s part of Starhill Gallery’s Feast Village. Opened for quite some time now, their newly revamped menu features sharing plates perfect for nibbling such as the Prawn & Chicken fritters (RM15) as well as Mex-influenced tacos for a messier feed (Chilli Lime Prawn tacos, RM32). Yes, that’s a load of sour cream drizzled on the tacos. Is that even acceptable for a restaurant in a premium mall? I’m not sure. Maybe skip the tacos and try their Paella instead.
