Tried this for the first time cause the friend chose this over rolled ice cream. We got chai tea gelato and mangosteen sorbet (salty peanut flavor was erm, too peanuty. don't shoot!). The chai tea flavor really is gao gao, more gao then an actual chai latte lol! The owner was very friendly when serving us our gelato, and he said 'Lucky you caught us 'cause this is our last week here...' Man I guess this is fate...
Killing 2 birds with 1 stone when I wanted coffee and ice cream. So I opted for espresso ice cream! The coffee taste was not too strong, just enough to tell that it's a coffee ice cream. Waffles was thick and fluffy. Normal I guess. Light and crispy, not the yeasty kind
So good! The Bandung, Pistachio & Salty Peanut flavor all so unforgettable!!
This 10 days old cafe is located within a small shopping mall at tanah merah and serves homemade gelato. Opened by a group of friends who are into photography and videography, this ice cream parlour is decorated with toy film cameras and superheroes cartoon on the wall. What interests me is actually the large clock hanging on the wall which doesn't have the usual numbers we see on the clocks. Instead, it has mathematical equations substituting the existing numbers, so solve it before you can read out the time. As the name suggests, go for their famous salty peanut flavour that is not commonly found in other places. The ice cream is creamy and milky with a chewy bite. This salty peanut tastes similar to that of peanut butter and the waffle is on the soggy side that has minimal crisp so give it a miss.
A brand new gelato/ waffles place at East Village. Opened in Nov 2014, this place serves homemade gelato ($7.50) and coffee ($3.50) at decent prices. I like that waffles was done warm and fluffy. Because it's gelato, it's softer than usual. Try the banana & salted caramel flavors.
Watermelon Sorbet was actually pretty refreshing and sweet, but the texture was pretty icy and crumbly.
