Out of sight, but out-of-mind delicious!
Only ate a few Chilli crab pasta before, but always end up wanting the real thing xD But this... is almost better than the real thing! 😳😳😳
Call me noob but I really never see one before 🤣 I thought those only exist in angmo CBD areas 😅 Service was really friendly, loud music was blasting all around and the coffee smell was amazing :) Perked me up instantly, haha!
I can't believe the number of times I had went past this entrance to the basement, thinking it looks dodgy, like I'll disappear into another dimension 😂 At the stall, once the owner greets us through the kitchen window, asking 'noodles, rice or man tou?', the Taiwanese accent was 🙃🙃🙃 coupled with the nice lady at the counter... ahhhh. The noodles really owned the pork chop, omg. How do they cook it so well?! And the sauce! 有家的味道😍 I fell in love. So much that I wish there's sauce on the pork chop too.
Heading to Icon village and while scrolling through Burpple, I saw this. Lavender and matcha! Together! Coupled! Wtv. Haha. The lavender desserts from other places somehow always turned out too icy; so my expectations were low. But this is so milky, exactly the way I always wished it would be! 😻 The power of Hokkaido milk?
Peaceful, quiet place in a red-bricked house... and beautifully cooked food with perfect taste. Really enjoyed the grilled veal steak with its mushroom sauce that's bursting w flavours and ravioli with pumpkin sauce. This place is so empty, I wish more knew about this place....
Had the pumpkin spice latte and I love it :) Can't seem to find many places with this and it really puts a twist on it compared to the usual flavours :) The drinks menu is quite extensive which surprised me, haha! Didn't know where to start, which item I wanted the most.
The earl grey roll cake was tender and creamy with a good heavy dose of bergamot; service was awkwardly sincere and funny the way they tried so hard to balance the latte; and the decoration has a well-thought country homely feel which was unexpected. Now if only everything isn't so quiet, the place would be more cosy and relaxing :)
But each and every time I would get too excited over it and forgot about getting a good photo😂 The baked chicken chop is the best chicken chop I have tasted! I have only seen baked style here and it is done soooo well! Chef is 👍👍👍👍 You won't regret coming here. Intro-ed my colleagues but they seem unwilling to come cause the place is 'ulu' 😔.
Not very convenient, and that's the charm. Friendly waitresses and a wide variety with several signatures not common in other zi char places, this is a lovely find. It really doesn't feel like Singapore. Anddddd it's located just 5 min away from my place 😂.
Even with so many food choices that you can't find anywhere else, and unique old-style decoration, the crowd seems so little. Cause it's too ulu? Come support lei😁 We tried Duck Confit with Orange Saffron sauce from Hoggies (which some people don't seem to notice) and Mee Goreng Spaghetti (yes.) from Chop Chop. Both seem weird at first, but tasted good after that first mouth.
Chilling in the only seats in the house, with the last slice of choc earl grey. The place feels light-hearted and the owner seems down-to-earth 😊 Any way for the earl grey fragrance to be more intense though?
2.5 hrs wait for Hambaobao and busy queues at the old stalls since it might be the last day of operations. So, handmade mhk and hk soya sauce chicken noodles for lunch and collect the hipster burgers eons later lor😂😢 Btw, classics are still the best! I will really miss these 3. Edit: Saw the news update and seems like it's xtended but unconfirmed dates? Don't play with the hawkers while you shake leg lei...
