The next time you're hungry for fish head curry, head to this two-storey eatery with an excellent rep. Bring your hungry friends along and order the group sets featuring the signature Fish Head Curry (from RM77) good to share between four to five. Thosai lovers shouldn’t miss out on the Rawa Thosai (RM4.50). This extra crispy and spice-heavy version is very thin but firm enough to mop up the leftover curry. If you're here for a quick weekday lunch, grab the Set Lunch B (RM14) that also comes with that spot-on fish curry.

This is a pretty special rava thosai, an extra ‘holey’ one that’s crisp and dark on one side, firm and light on the other. They’ve got the flavours exactly right, with the tangy fermentation going on. Especially good when dipped into Ratha’s famous fish curry — you’ll probably need an extra serving of this.
Famed for their curry fish head originating from Raub, this branch doesn’t disappoint. Quality of food is well maintained and they even sell packets of curry pastes for convenient cooking.
Tip: Don’t miss our the grilled lamb and sambal sotong
An offshoot of Raub's famous family-owned curry fish head restaurant, this Damansara Uptown joint is an unassuming gem especially since not many here know of its solid background in the food biz. The simple two-storey, air-conditioned shoplot is great for a hot day lunch with your colleagues, even better for full-on feasts with a few friends after work. At lunchtime, the Set Lunch B (RM13.30) is what to look out for. It's the only individual meal that offers a side of their spot-on fish curry with mixed vegetables, white rice and an iced rose syrup drink. There are also group sets available, but if you're up for sharing, we recommend saving your stomach for dinner when it's quieter and the kitchen staff has more time to perfect large-portioned dishes. Get the Group Set (from RM87.90) that includes their fish head curry — a claypot filled with sizeable fish head chunks and their distinctive, umami-packed curry gravy. Don't leave without an order of their Fried Lamb (RM10.90), no-frills lamb cutlets deep-fried to accentuate the flavourful marinade. Rice aside, Ratha Raub also serves up a tasty Rawa Tosai (RM4.80)!

You've just gotta try everything on the menu! Especially the prathas, lamb cutlets, sambal sotong, curry fish! It's also one of the rare places that serves fresh cow's milk.
When family dinners get a little monotonous, spice things up by bringing the clan to Ratha Raub! Go upstairs to be seated comfortably with the air-conditioning switched on and relish in their Raub-famous dishes. The Group Set Menu (from RM78) makes your life a lot easier when it comes to ordering, as it packs most of Ratha's best picks in a set — the signature fish head curry, famous Raub fried chicken, cucumber salad, rice, papadam and drinks. For a taste of their top contender, however, you will have to add chef-recommended Fried Lamb (RM10.90) to your order. Almost unheard of, the fried lamb is simple but boasts incredibly flavourful and juicy meat at every bite. This dish alone is sure to keep you coming back, even if it means braving the Damansara Uptown jam.
Recommended for 4-6 pax.
