Always been impressed by the food cooked by the different refuel cafes and once again I left feeling satisfied!

The Salmon Pesto Scramble ($15.50) came generous with a huge portion of perfectly cooked pesto scrambled eggs under crispy and fluffy toast. The pesto scrambled eggs were really fluffy too, with a fragrant taste coming from the pesto within. The smoked salmon pieces also accompanied the toast really well! Love the tang from the lemon slice too, as it made the dish more refreshing.

The Porky Egg Waffle ($15.50) also came generous with pulled pork slices which were very well seasoned. Neither too salty nor too sweet, the pulled pork pieces were quite addictive on its own! The waffle itself is the soft and fluffy kind and its sweetness complements the savouriness of the pulled pork well. With some perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, I really couldn't ask for more!

I definitely wiped my plate clean! Can't wait to be back to try more dishes 😋

Apple Crumble Pancakes - $11.9

Stack of thin pancakes with baked apples on the top, sprinkled with homemade crumble. Paired with caramel sauce, plus of scoop of ice cream to sweeten the meal. I also love their refreshing Fuel Ice Tea ($5.50), a citrusy ice tea with lemon & lime, texture is close to fruit juice! Great way to end a meal

Quite ordinary to me. Nice touch of sprinkling some pistachio on top.

This pull pork waffer is my all time favorite! With the right amount of pull pork and right taste. Love how generous they are w the vege too. Scramble egg just add on to the flavours.

I was actually taken aback by this! I was afraid to order because I was worried that it would be like how some chilli crab gravies are — too sweet; I prefer a spicier sauce. Yet, this dish surprised me with their spicier over sweet combination. A good experience, but the thing with crab meat pasta dishes is that the flakes of crab meat will invariably seem unsubstantial :( which makes it feel like it isn’t that worth it. Nonetheless I do think it’s worth a try.

The most popular cafe in Bedok Reservoir draws in the crowds with unpretentious, hearty food at pocket-friendly prices.

The eggs are poached to wobbly, runny perfection and lightly coated in a well-balanced, none too rich hollandaise, served on a bed of tender, moreish pulled pork, that while overly sweet was still enjoyable.

This cafe is definitely well known in the east, serving up delicious all day brunches. The Pulled Pork on Toast (I can't remember the real name) ($13.90) came with generous portions of pulled pork, and I really appreciated the perfectly poached eggs on the toast 😍 The Salmon Scramble ($14.50) is on another level though; the pesto scrambled eggs, together with the smoked salmon and naan was the perfect pairing!

Service is really fast and wonderful here. Great for good quality time here with your loved ones ☺️

Forever my go-to meal at refuel because when I am there I lose all sense of adventure, give in to vulnerability, and retreat back into my comfort zone to enjoy a plate of spicy, creamy pasta that I’m sure wouldn’t disappoint. I have to admit, the spiciness level has dropped, which made me a little sad, but I made that up with Tabasco so alls good. But I always appreciate the authenticity to its taste, light but creamy (you won’t get sick of it!), spicy but not the common tomyam taste you’d get from other fusion pastas. With a generous amount of seafood - fresh prawns and mussels, this pasta is an alternative take on tomyam pastas, as it still gives a spicy kick!🌶

Chose it because it was recommended and it seemed like an original - and I guess this was a pretty decent thirst quencher which exceeded expectations. It tasted like normal lemon tea at first, but I started to appreciate its natural sweetness and fruity notes that came with it. There were citrus flavours because of the lemon and oranges inside, as well as grapefruit and mint leaves I believe. It was not diluted, which was also a great thing as the overall drink flavour was really light to taste, making it a good choice of drink on a warm day.

The last time I ate this was before they revamped their menu. While I always believe a menu upgrade would elevate the experience, this dish fell short of expectations. They now use penne instead of macaroni, which is really odd because it is called macaroni & cheese for a reason.. I also feel like penne did not properly encapsulate the taste of the three cheeses they pride themselves on. They now add zucchini too, but placed them in large zucchini chunks, which was really out of place for this dish. Perhaps smaller slices would’ve sufficed. Nonetheless, the dish was adequately cheesy, and the base sauce was more bolognese, and there was a pretty generous amount of meat. However, the flavour got a little bit too salty at the end.

This cup of mocha is pretty decent. Strong, not too sweet, and just the right amount of chocolatey. Wished the texture was smoother, but it was still not bad.

This cafe has one of the worst customer service!!

I've visited this cafe at Bedok Reservoir a few times as it is conveniently located near my work place and home. Food is OK but the service has always been substandard. Employees there don't really give a damn about customer service so don't expect them to smile and greet you warmly. Manager has the "blackest" face. She's like having a bad day every time and will never put on a smile even when eye contact. So, I have known their service has always been poor.

But I am extremely appalled by their service today!! My mother and I arrived on a regular weekday, Wednesday at 12.30pm. There was a long standing queue outside the cafe and the cafe was packed. I looked inside the cafe and saw the service staff noticed me so I proceeded to stand behind the line.

The weather was hot and there are no fans installed outside. The queue was moving very slowly. After waiting for a long hour, it's finally our turn to be seated next. I saw the servers clearing away the table and we were waiting for them to signal us into the cafe. Right at this moment, a group of people queuing behind us waltz into the cafe and got seated at the table that was just cleared. My mother and I were shocked because they came 45 mins after us and how can they just cut our queue??!! I quickly went into the cafe and informed the staff (her name was Amy) that we were supposed to be seated next. To prove myself I even pointed out the couple who was waiting in front of us earlier to Amy, saying we were behind them. Amy then asked the couple if their names were on the waiting list. The couple said no. She looked at me speechless and did not resolve the issue. Left me and my mum hanging. Left the other couple lost for words but they were lucky to be seated.

What was even more frustrating was that, there was a f**king waiting list all along and none of the staff inside actually came out to let us queuing customers know that we can actually write down our names and get called when it's our table is ready??!! All of us could have avoided the heat and went somewhere else first!!

I questioned Amy why we were not informed of the waiting list. She looked at me dumbfounded and awkwardly asked me to join a table that clearly wasn't meant to be shared with. It was a table meant for 4 pax already seated by a family of three. She wants my mum and I to be seated at the corner of the table, not even seated opposite of each other. It clearly was going to be very uncomfortable arrangement for them and the family we were sharing with.

I couldn't believe that besides messing up the waiting list system, she couldn't even resolve the issue by acknowledging her mistake and politely asked those behind me to give up the table for my mother and I since we have been waiting in the line for the last hour.

My mother and I were terribly upset to be put in such awkward and bad situation. We walked away and never going to come back.

To the owner of this cafe, your staff is not well trained, especially Amy. I believe many of us can agree that customer service is extremely important for running a cafe. Of course, I am not expecting to be pampered with a hai di lao sort of service, but at the very least, your customers should be treated fairly, respected and served with a smile. Your staff has failed to deliver even the most basic customer service. You have lost yourself a customer today, I suggest you do something about it asap.

decent cafe food if you are near the hood. the toast was nice though.

(full tank $15.9 / meaty mac & cheese $14.9)

3 pancakes with earl grey ice cream and fruits, drizzled with maple syrup. Preferred the ice cream to the pancakes but overall it’s quite good as it’s not too sweet.

The strands of spaghetti was drenched in thick and creamy chilli crab sauce. Served with real crab meat, the sauce was tongue-tingling as the spiciness kicked in. I would have preferred the less spicy sauce and bigger chunks of crab meat then the shredded pieces. Overall it was tasty and retained the chilli crab flavour, but not one of my favourites.

A good cup of joe that was medium-bodied, nutty and bittersweet

Pulled pork was yummy 😋 but the waffles was soggy😑. The honey BBQ ribs (not in picture) was dry. Nice cafe in the east but the food need some quality control

Pull pork waffle is my all time favorite. It is more on the sweet side and the scramble eggs perfected this dish.
