𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 (4 ⭐️; $24) - Perfectly executed hash with crispy exterior and soft fluffy russet potato interior. Satisfying dish with thick cut bacon, kale salad, and bagna couda (garlic cream + anchovy).
While it’s tough to pick a favourite amongst the extensive choice of cafes within Melbourne, Proud Mary’s Coffee definitely comes in top three. We’ll definitely revisit every time we’re here and will order this:
Potato Hash with poached eggs, streaky double smoked bacon, kale salad and bagna cauda (Italian sauce made of anchovies and cream).
Over the years they’ve made a few variations but it’s always hearty, soulful and fulfilling.

Melbourne's home grown coffee roasting and cafe brand, which had expand to Portland, USA too! House in a old power station, the raw brick cafe has a huge brew counter as you see baristas at work. Here we are having Devilled Egg with Crispy Chicken Skin (AUD 4), Crab & Potato Omelette (AUD 20.50) and Potato Hash (AUD 21.50). Which I felt potato hash was the best as it comes with thick cut bacon, baby kale and poached eggs.
Loved the lone Vinegary Devilled Egg (AUD 4 for one) that came with crispy chicken skin. For the Crab and Potato Omelette (AUD 21), it was pretty average but saved but the brilliant herbed creme fraiche and tomato kasundi sauces.
I've enjoyed every bit of Melb's consistently booming brunch scene but this was unarguably the one place that held the most soul. ✊🏻 19bucks/serve

Yesterday's brekkie at Proud Mary.
Started missing Australia while strolling along the Yarra River, and even more so on the way to the airport. Will be back soon for the awesome food and coffee.
