I had to try something that caused a stir overseas and boasts this way. Great example of how the attention to a burger should not be only the patty. Although the fried chicken was fine, the magic of this burger was how individual parts came together. The buttered bun was underestimated, the spicy Cajun sauce boosted it without stealing the show, while the semi-pickled cucumber balanced the umami. Delightful.
Buttered brioche buns, crunchy and tender chicken thigh fillet and crisp brined pickles, accompanied by spicy cajun sauce. I could see why it received so much attention in the States. It’s a simple, wonderfully executed burger.
This came as a meal w reg fries & reg drink. We thought this sandwich was fantastic! The breading of the chicken was flavourful. It was crispy but also melts in ur mouth - like how?!?!! Actual chicken was also very meaty & there wasn’t that layer of fat/skin over the chicken like those in a Mcspicy, which we appreciated bc it sort of felt healthier. Brioche bun was also really soft and nicely buttered which gives this sandwich an extra kick of flavour instead of the plain buns you get at macs. Overall, we would rate this a 5/5. M not a fast food kind of person but this was really good! It wasn’t spicy at all tho, but idk if that’s bc we got the mild version (we didn’t have the option to choose). The spicy option would have been better! We also feel that this beats mcspicy hands down!!!! 👍🏼
They must be the first fast-food chain to adapt the pasar malam favourite deep-fried mushrooms. Although it's a brilliant idea, it was too salty. The tenders were totally tasteless, to the extent I wondered if somebody screwed up.
Cajun Fried Chicken (mild) (6 Pieces) came with coleslaw and mashed potato. I found to be crispy and crunchy chicken skin but the fried chicken was quite moist and not dry aftertaste.
Sorry, I'm not partial towards Popeyes chicken. I also hate that mashed potato. But when I have a craving for biscuit, it's where I turn to. Protip: the fries are different too.
