soup taste earthy with the essence of mushrooms and mani cai. noodles was quite qq and the meat has its natural sweetness to it. the chilli packs a punch. I feel that more meat could be given because the amount is quite little. overall, still a decent bowl of you mian.

Seems like a popular stall. I found it okay, but then I'm not a fan of this dish, so it's not easy to impress me.

The mhk itself is a little average, it’s the flat kind and it’s not as chewy as the good mhks I’ve had before. It still has a bite to it, and only became a bit more doughy towards the end of the meal. But the soup and ingredients are nice! Soup is flavourful but didn’t feel msg-ish, and they use mani cai as the veg! Minced meat is marinated and tender, ikan bilis was yummy. Added an egg bc I love egg drop soup! Prawns were overcooked 😢

Tho overall I felt it was not spectacular as nothing particularly stood out, but I would come again! Comforting and nothing wrong other than the prawn.

This dry fish maw ban mian comes with minced pork, ikan bilis, vegetables, dark sauce and chilli. Toss the noodles with the sauce and it's all good to eat. The ban mian was cooked al-dente with a firm and bouncy texture that gives a delectable bite 》$4.50

This stall serves good ban mian and offers a selection of different kinds of noodles such as mee hoon kueh, ban mian, u mian, gong zai mian, cintan mee, bee hoon, mee sua and bean flour noodle. Be spoiled for choice with different combinations of ingredients such as abalone clams, fish maw, prawn, scallop or sliced fish to go with your noodles.

The abalone clams ban mian comes with minced meatballs, mushrooms, vegetables and ikan bilis in a clear and flavourful broth. The ban mian was firm, soft and a little chewy 》$5

We heard of this famed noodle stall and decided to try it out!! The stall serves a variety of handmade noodles, including ban mian, you mian, Mee hoon kueh, topped with ingredients such as sliced fish, abalone slices and pacific clams. In our case, we ordered the dish with you mian and abalone slices only, with the smallest bowl costing $4!

Although the noodles tasted fairly standard, the soup was really nice because it was very flavourful and probably has been boiled with fish and ikan bilis for a long time. For $4, the ingredients were also fairly generous even as the bowl of noodles was rather small. Pair the noodles and the abalone slices with the chilli paste provided for an extra kick since the chilli is really spicy!

Poon Nah City was really crowded even near it's closing time of 8 pm in the evening, and it's testament to the popularity of the dish! 😁
