Nah. Idk if it's authentic but even if it is, I'm sorry it just doesn't cut it. It's literally baked soggy pastry, tastes very far off from bread pudding we are used to. We left half the dessert untouched
Their chicken is really done marvelously. I mean it could have been a bit more crispy but otherwise it's very well charred and tender.
I liked the rice too, it's well separated and has a bite. On top of that there's a spice permeating the rice but my partner didn't like the spice. It's not too strong though
Tbh I ordered it for the moussaka
The lamb was overcooked and somewhat tough, but passable. Their moussaka is really good tho, very creamy and full of spiced aroma, without being jelak. The tastes of the various veggies come through nicely too
Portion isn't very big, barely fed 2 of us. It's thick and creamy though, quite a good execution for hummus. There's barely any sourness tho, which was fine by me
It's passable, the flavours are very mild and not very seasoned so it's meant to go with dips. Not very crispy either
food:
i admit that i am no master of mediterranean food — this is my 2nd time eating this type of food. however, everyone knows once they have come across good food. good food makes you happy, makes you crave more, makes you so incredibly immersed in the experience of eating. and wonderful meal made me feel all the above. what was included in this mix was: tender beef kebab, savoury chicken kebab and umami-filled lamb chops, along side fragrant saffron rice (not pictured) with cashews and refreshing fresh vegetables. we were recommended to start with the lamb and the beef so it would not become dry, and it was so tender and savoury. it was extremely flavourful and i enjoyed every single bite i had. it was unlike any food i had eaten before. i'm usually one to shy away from any extra rice, however, the rice was fragrant and smooth, in addition to that extra contrast of the cashew, that made it so addictive. i left this place feeling satisfied and happy, a feeling i haven't gotten from a meal in a long time.
service:
the waiter was really friendly and gave us good advice! nothing to take note of regarding the service, they are all incredibly friendly and polite! thank you <3
overall:
my budget's usually tight, and this place may burn your pockets a little. however, i would definitely recommend coming here!
(other things ordered: pita bread [$5], baba ghannoush (aubergine dip) [$8])
