Part of Paul Bakeryโs (Westgate) all day 3-course menu at $15.80++. This would be the highlight - starchy soup, choice of roast chicken, sea bass (small fish portion) or toast beef sandwich for main, and bread and butter pudding for dessert. Comes with home made iced tea. The pudding is a decent portion, moist on the inside, sufficiently custardy with vanilla sauce on top. Nothing stunning, but overall good deal for the price.
I've been to Paul twice, once for lunch and once for some desserts. The lunch set is pretty value for money! I tried the grilled chicken and it was not bad ๐ Portions are good too.
Desserts are also pretty good, especially the meringue tarts! The millefeuille chocolat was rather mediocre though.
My main issue with this place would be the service, it is honestly lacking and the staff there looks so confused all the time. The ambiance could be better too. Decor-wise it looks really upscale and elegant but the service and the noise levels just don't match the expectations. ๐
Sunday. Savour the weekend.

The coffee here is reminiscent of the one in France - milky with a good amount of milk froth, smooth body and not too acidic. A crisp croissant with a slight chewy interior. Itโs a comfy setting with service - not bad if you need a calm place to settle in for a bit.
Un petit croissant et cafรฉ cappuccino por moi. Tres bien
This tangy strawberry tart was pretty good, but the chocolate ๐ซ and lemon ๐ tarts are still the stars IMO!
Tarts run out here very fast, so if u manage to grab one, you're very lucky!
Did you know that Paul has an extremely value for money set meal? $15 for a 3 course meal that left us too full; we came only wanting desserts for dinner but left after 3 courses instead ๐
Thick, chunky, luxurious fish! I'm salivating over that perfect juicy piece of crispy skin!! Great tomato accompaniment - sweet sour and savoury! A very well balanced medley.
