Saw that Paradise was having their anniversary deals available so decide to head over for a family dinner. Used the voucher where one could redeem a free Signature Pickled Fish (u.p. $33.80) with a minimum spend of $50. A pretty good deal as the dish was really delicious, with a sizeable portion of tender fish slices with a multitude of other ingredients in the tangy suancai soup. We haad this with the Xiao Long Bao ($9.80for 6 pcs), French Bean ($14.30), La Mian Pork Dumpling ($12.80), and Shanghai Fried Rice ($14.80). All were of good quality as expected from Paradise Dynasty. Use the voucher while it lasts!

Good variety of different Chinese cuisines. The Xiao long bao and chopped pork fried rice is not as good as Din Tai Fung, and the sichuan dishes at Sichuan Dou Hua are much better, but the food here is good enough. Service is good and prices are reasonable for Orchard Rd location. No wonder it’s always packed at weekends.

Went with the assortment which featured their latest addition of Korean kimchi xiaolongbao and enjoyed the spicy tangy rendition reminiscent of traditional Korean mandu. Personal top favourites are still the original and truffle rendition.

This salted egg bao delivers on it's promise of being a lava bao because LOOK AT THAT LAVA. The precious salted egg filling oozes out like liquid gold the moment you tear it open. The salted egg taste is prominent and super savoury with a slightly grainy mouthfeel, but not the kind of overly grainy texture that's akin to eating sand. The bao skin is pretty average, it serves its purpose well in containing the salted egg so there's not much to say about it. Overall this bao is hella great but definitely really expensive with each small bao rounding up to around $2-$3 each. The price to pay for the bourgeoisie of eating liquid gold.

Shoutout to my friend Dorcas for putting up with my requests to take spam pics of her bao's 流沙 when all she wanted to do was stuff the whole thing into her mouth. And extra shoutout to my friend Kim for letting me use her iPhone to take about a hundred of these pics because the quality difference between her phone and mine is astronomical 🥵
