[CLOSED] Old Hong Kong Kitchen (KINEX)

Used 2 sets of burpple beyond mains, which cannot exceed $25. Ordered the eefu noodles, horfun w/ pork ribs, homemade squid paste and beancurd, spinach w/ century egg. The items on the menu were priced at the small portion (for 4 pax) and we ended up getting everything at medium sized except the horfun (due to the burrple beyond deal). Everything was pretty good and the service was good too! A lil pricey without burpple beyond but would still recommend 😊

REMARKS:
- Soup was flavourful
- Portion of noodles was somewhat small
- Beef brisket was slightly tough
- Congee was great after adding soy sauce
- Very generous amount of meats and liver
- Overall, a filling meal with attentive staff

When dim sum cravings hit, round up the fam for a feast at this Hong Kong restaurant housed in KINEX. Go for the bang for buck Dum Sum in the Cage ($28.80) – a dim sum platter including classic dishes like Steamed Shrimp and Pork Dumpling with Fish Roe and Steamed Prawn Dumpling. On mains, hit up the plump and bouncy Fresh Shrimp Wanton Noodles ($9.80) and the aromatic Fried Rice with Diced Scallop, Conpoy and Egg White ($18).

Was surprised by the food standards. Most of the dishes exceeded my expectation. Will highly recommend the Flaming Kurobuta pork and beancurd. But, the quality of the dishes doesn't really justify the higher price tag as compared to other Chinese restaurant chains. May revisit but only on special occasion with 1 for 1 beyond.
