Best Satay (Lau Pa Sat)

Stall 7&8 Best Satay. Min order of 10 sticks each at $0.70. They had set but I ordered Ala carte. Beef was marinated in a sauce that tasted a tad sourish. Chicken was tougher than I expected. Not sure if it was breast meat.

Note: Marinated meats come raw & w/o skewers.

Mutton Satay Goreng.
Instead of serving the mutton satay w skewers, the meat is fried. As the Mutton is already marinated, no other seasoning is needed.
It is fast, convenience & no fuss.

Just like the mutton satay @best.satay served at Satay Club, the flavour is full of spices, on the sweeter side.
Love the mutton goreng served w side of stir fried garlic Kai Lan.
You can eat it w rice, naan, prata, bread or as an open sandwich.

The satay sauce is heated in a pan.
Crunchy, full of nuts, aromatic, additive.
Goes very well the mutton satay & rice.
Water can be added to reduce the concentration & serve as a dip.

One of the best (and worst) part of squatting at the CBD is that the satay club is just at the doorstep of my temporary 'campsite'. The smell of grilled satay wafting through the air is just really hard to resist!

10 sticks for $7, 5 beef and 5 chicken. The beef trumps the chicken, which is a tad too spongy.
