Saw that there is waffle with omelette ($2.80) hence decided to give it a try. The waffle smell nice and tasty but omelette feel kind of dry. I think their sauce item wouls be better
After more than a year, came to Canteen 11 for the economic rice. Even though price has increased due to inflation, it still attract lots of crowd.
Had 2 portion of 2 meat & 2 veg & 2 rice for 2 pax for $11.20.
That's the name given by them so I'm quoting it directly haha
Still executed decently, but the brinjal didn't absorb the taste of the sauce which wasn't too strong in the first place, well enough. Therefore it was the weakest link amongst the dishes we had here
The mountain of onion throws me off, not that it's bad, just inauthentic and not what I'm used to. Overall it's still pretty decent though, esp for a stall
Quite mild for authentic Chinese but it's still reasonable. And for people who eat this quite often it's healthier too
The beef was extremely tender, period. It's pretty surprising the quality that a stall is able to achieve, I wonder where they procure the beef?

Had 2 meat & 2 vegetable for $4.50. It was a bit expensive than I was expecting of $4.20 as my previous time 2 meat & 1 vegetable was $3.60. However, they were very generous with the amount of sweet and sour pork given and I really like it.
One of my last meal before coming back in Aug 2023.

I find the waffle at can 11 is the best in NTU! I didn’t order the usual sweet options but try the savory one instead! The chicken is realllly thinnnn tho (it’s 1 sliced into half)

Al dente noodles in flavouresome broth. Serve with spring onion, black fungus and smokey chewy firm meat.

Mixed Rice($3)
Curry Chicken😋 - Loved it. Had a nostalgic flavour. Chicken were tender and had absorbed the curry well. Potato had the right thickness cut and was cooked thoroughly.
Steamed Egg👍 - Soft, silky, smooth, wobbly, dissolved in the mouth, light & savoury.
Tofu😕 - The colour doesn't define to what I had in mind. Expected to be a little salty & moderate spicy but it turns out mild spicy and sweet. Contrasting to what you think it should taste like.
Overall, its great but I can't say is the best as there are still many dishes I yet to try. Plus some dishes were serve cold.

Best Waffles in Campus???🤔
Well, well, well, lets find out.👣
Several say Canteen 11 which is located at the northeast side of NTU Campus, have the best waffle but some others beg to differ. But in this posts, its just going to be Canteen 11 Waffles.
Arriving at the place, you can see quite a queue here during peak hours waiting for their waffle. When you walk closer, the aroma of Waffles dive into your nose before you patiently watch it prepared by friendly Kakak.
The smell of waffle excite me while I wait for it. Looking at how she spam the butter and pour of honey makes me felt guilty about diet.😅(who cares)
The round flat thin waffles had a fluffly soft inner texture while leaving of a crisp to every bite from its skin layer. For the price, I think is quite worth it.
But I can't conclude as the best yet as I had not try other places. NTU peeps, anywhere else within campus sell waffle too?

The chicken that makes you salivate and want more. The chicken is really well cooked, mixed with a variety of herbs and spices, creating a good balance in each flavour. Lies on a bed of cucumber, in case you need a cleanse for your palette as some might find it too heavy flavoured (but well it’s sichuan cuisine)! Best part? It’s school food so it’s really cheap!
