The coconut milk wasn't V strong, this very wet version is pretty good due to the complexity, although it's not particularly intense. There's probably red dates inside I believe, the black rice carries a lot of bite
Overall a good version
Some of the sweet potato had a bit of edge but otherwise given that this is a simple dish, they executed decently and nothing much else to fault
Btw the staff here are all hunks
This was special, the best laksa I've had in recent memory.
Intensely creamy, and not shy with the rempah. It's got a nice heat that hits the back of your throat. Sambal was sweet, and complex, almost jammy. Taupok was esp good and the rest of the ingredients were par
Overall it was an impressive bowl since the gravy is rlly the heart of the dish and they nailed that
Sold at a flat price of $5 per box, the stall has a whole array of kueh and desserts to choose from. Opted for the kueh dadar - it seemed to be popular among customers! The skin is a tad thick but the pandan flavouring is distinct. The coconut filling yields a burst of gula melaka with every bite! We also like the kueh salat and bobo chacha here :-)
Food here is on the pricier side, but that doesn’t stop a crowd from forming! The nasi lemak ($6.50) rice is fragrant but not too overwhelming, paired with a sweet sambal and salty ikan bilis. It’s served with fried chicken cutlet, sayuh lodeh and omelette! Portion is generous and all in all a yummy meal :-)
Only $2.80 for this ultra creamy coconut dessert with soft sweet potato and classic Bobo Chacha ingredients.
Highly recommended!
