Taking inspiration from Chuncheon's well-known barbecue chicken, SeoulNami serves delicious pork-free Korean barbecue. A must-try is their Famous Chuncheon Chicken (from RM59) – tender marinated chicken thigh available in four tantalising flavours including sweet Honey Butter and spicy Hot Pepper. Bring a group and order the Signature Tasting Set (RM269) for a worth-the-splurge meal for four. The set includes a variety of dishes to fuel the party – think Chuncheon Chicken in three flavours, Crabby Kimchi Jjigae and Fist Rice (DIY rice balls with seaweed and chicken). Also indulge in the popular Korean Bone-in Short Ribs. (RM139).

Here’s a fun spot for dinner with your foodie friends. A new venture from the owners of Apple Samgyupsal and Shinmapo, this barbecue joint sees a focus on the versatile chicken. Come for the Famous Chuncheon Chicken (from RM59) prepared in four different marinades, like Honey Butter and Ganjang. To try several flavours, order the Signature Tasting Set (RM269) that's good to feed four. If you've still got tummy space, get the addictive Fire Ramyeon (RM39) and the Fist Rice (rice balls with seaweed flakes and chicken, RM29) to share. The perfect ending to that meaty meal? Their light and creamy Charcoal Burnt Cheese Cake (RM12).

We were given plastic gloves to mix and make it into little balls. The flavours of chicken, rice, seaweed went so well together. It’s impossible to just stop at one ball.

It is included in the Signature Tasting Set, but if you didn’t order that, definitely should end your meal with the cheese cake! It’s baked on the charcoal at the beginning and taken out at the end of the meal. Light yet creamy. So good!

Out of the three chicken flavours - spicy hot pepper, sweet honey butter and savoury ganjang chicken, we liked the honey butter the best. The spicy version lacked heat and ganjang chicken was lack of flavour. But the meat was juicy and tender.

Eat with caution! I love spicy food, and I found it addictively yummy and it is quite spicy. But in a good way.

Fresh, fried and smoked. I’ve never had smoked kimchi before and we all really loved it!

Chicken tasted so much better with warm gooey cheese! Melt the cheese on a mini cooker heated by candles or melt it straight on the grill!

Limited side dishes compared to other Korean BBQ places. There was only radish, spinach, pickle and steam eggs. Steam eggs cooked on a portable stove in front of you. It was cooked and seasoned well.

From the owners of Apple Samyupsal and Shinmapo, their new venture Seoul Nami which is pork free just opened at Gardens Mall! Quite a big space with bright neon lights. If you can’t decide what to have or want to try everything, get the Signature Tasting Set (RM269) for 4 pax, with 2 drinks and 2 desserts. Plus, you’ll get their Signature Kimchi Trio (RM29) for free!

My favourite korean meal is this O Jing Eo Bokem (RM19.90) . It is actually a stir fried squid with their homemade chilli sauce and mix with some vegetables . It is spicy but the taste is really good as the squids are fresh and quite a big amount for one person. This set also come with a rice, soup and side dishes. Their signature drink Korean Barley ( RM4.50) taste quite good too.
