Surprisingly the sweetness from the nian gao complimented really well with the savoury and richness of the cheese

Garlic cream cheese was a little too flowy but other than that, this was actually quite pleasant! It’s your typical eggwich but with garlic cream cheese in the middle. I much preferred this to the other new flavour, Benny.

Garlic, cream cheese, egg, and pancakes make an amazingly yummy combination!

... it looked much better in their promotional pictures. The eggwich itself was alright - typical mr bean pancake fried with an egg on top sandwiching a small slice of luncheon meat. They could’ve went easy with the hollandaise sauce though - it was very watery and runny, and quite tasteless.

Tastewise the pancake honestly was alright, I wouldn’t expect too much for the price, but I think this would’ve been so much better if the sauce wasn’t so watery, so that the eggwich wouldn’t be drenched. The idea is really good though, a pity the execution of the sauce wasn’t done well.

Healthy rice bowl with onsen egg, edamame, corn, cauliflower. The chicken was surprisingly tender and there were red rice grains too. Felt really nutritious and was pretty filling!

Not all Mr beans are the same ....

I have this indescribable urge to get mr bean’s chunky peanut butter pancakes everytime I walk by.

It’s just that fine balance of sweet ( not so sweet) and savoury peanut butter with very very chunky grounded peanut that I absolutely love .

I have ordered this in a few other outlets but was disappointed because the pancakes were a bit stiff ( probably from the reheating of the pancakes after they have been made for some time ).

The pancakes at Raffles Place are always fresh and soft and warm because the turnover is high .
The chunky peanut butter still maintains a lava like consistency . But once they cool , they pretty much harden .

I had one bad experience at a particular mr bean where the pancake was hard and dry and the peanut filling was solidified .

Will always get my pancake fix from Raffles Place now 😊

I actually prefer this version to their regular soy soft serve .

This is less sweet and has a slight nutty flavour and a more subdued soy flavour .

Highly recommended !
