3.75⭐ Birthday treat from sis. Had lunch at Mikuni, making use of the Amex Love Dining discount. Food was above average but we preferred Sens of Japan which offer a wider variety. Sashimi is fresh and it's the jelly stuff which left the impression, would prefer the sashimi to be of thicker slice. The dragon roll is so generous with tobikko, loves the crushing of tobikko inside the mouth. The scallop shell includes chunks of abalone and scallop, sauce is slightly on the salty side. Miso cod fish is well marinated and tender, would make a great dish with white rice. The soba at Mikuni is thicker than the normal soba I ate before, still prefer the normal soba thickness.
