Nice fillet with miso soup, rice, drink and a choice between salad or crispy gyoza. It's right next to Food village, therefore it seemed a bit pricey with service tax etc. But, I think it's just my bias. The food was great!
Always a fan of Japanese Fried Rice :) The pork chop that goes along with it tastes juicy and tender too.
This review is for the relatively-new Ngee Ann City outlet. The ramen is slightly better than the shop that used to occupy this location, but it is still not special. Starving diners should love it, as they can have FIVE times the tsukemen (cold noodles) for free!! Effort service.
Delicious ramen at Takashimaya. It’s the closest taste/ flavour to Japan branch’s Menya Musashi.
As part of the seasonal menu, the drumstick tsukemen is served with a side of truffle mushroom tonkotsu soup, with an optional free upsize of noodles up to 2x! Each portion of the tsukemen comes with a huge piece of chicken drumstick (swipe to view), bamboo shoots, spring onions and half an Ajitama (ramen egg) laid atop a bed of ramen noodles. The chicken drumstick was tender, succulent and flavourful, a smoky and meaty goodness (as the menu suggests) indeed! 💕 What got me sold was the truffle infused mushroom tonkotsu soup that was rich, flavourful and filled with a lingering, distinct truffle aroma. Though it could get a tad overwhelmingly salty after some time, I managed to request for some clear soup broth to dilute it. What I also enjoyed about this soup was the presence of sliced mushrooms within, adding a pleasant earthy note and a chunky factor. The noodles are slightly thicker than the usual ramen I’ve always had, with a texture that’s neither too hard nor soft. A great complement for dipping and dunking into the truffle infused tonkotsu soup; though I would personally prefer thinner noodles. For each set meal, it comes with a drink and side of your choice - which I opted for the Osaka Osho Original Gyoza (4 pieces). The gyozas were pan fried to a crisp golden brown exterior, with a thickness done right and filled with flavourful minced meat and vegetables that added a pleasant crunch factor. Surprisingly surpass expectations and one of the better gyozas I’ve had (my favorite is still the ones from Gyoza King) .
[PS: This drumstick ramen also comes in a soup version but without the truffle goodness. Not too sure when does this seasonal special menu ends, but do check it out soon!] .

Love black ramen for the garlic flavour in the broth
