Fire Ramen & Izakaya by Menbaka (The Centrepoint)

Used the set meal and restricted to order the shiitake (14.90) and Shoyu ramen (17.90) only even though burpple and their set menu image didn’t state anything about their restriction. Did the math for all the items and couldn’t add up to their UP 79.90 as stated in the set menu image. 2 sake ice cream ($9.90 each), 2 iced green tea ($2.40 each), 2 hard boiled eggs (presumably $1 each), gyoza ($7.90) and 2 Shoyu chashu ramen ($17.90 each).

Asked the staff, they took the calculator, repeatedly did the math and the final number is $68?? How is this one for one deal if I’m paying $39.90 plus plus. Also we ordered the most expensive items we could in this set menu.

Honestly, if they can’t afford to do a one for one deal, they shouldn’t even pretend they can, quite a disappointment.

Soup is bland and there’s no “mountain” of scallions as shown in the image. we finished all the food because the portion is too little so gotta get a more satisfying dinner after this. Paid $47.40 for two after GST and service charge.

We ordered the Shoyu Ramen set that came with Gyoza, and upgraded our hard-boiled eggs to ramen eggs, ocha and sake Ice Cream.

Ramen - noodle springy but portion on smaller side but enough for ladies. Soup broth is robust with a good wok-Hei injection. We like that!

Gyoza and Ramen eggs - average but good enough.

Sake Ice Cream - vanilla ice cream laced with sake. I love how the sweetness from the ice cream has the tinge of sake on it.

A Hearty meal with nice shoyu broth in the ramen. The fire show added nice flavour to the ramen and the servings were just nice.

Burpple set menu - 2 sets of ramen w onsen egg for $25 only! Ordered & waited our turn to watch the fire cooking at the kitchen station, which was such a treat. Ramen tasted great with a tinge of wok hey. Broth was rich & flavourful. Just the right portion without feeling too over the top.

Burpple set was worth it. X2 ramen, x2 Ocha, 6pcs gyoza, x2 sake ice cream.

I had the collagen broth. very nice. Not so salty anymore as that time I visited when they just opened.

The staff said they will relocate to center point. Maybe will open in November not sure when. So do check out Google operating hours before visit to avoid disappointment.
