A meaty affair! @meatologykl is a haven for meat lovers, offering a wide variety including roast pork and cracking pork skin both made in house. So order this addictive Poison Pork as starter to go with your drinks before dinner.
Another noteworthy dish is the Rare Seared Tuna (MYR58.80). The sashimi grade tuna comes with citrusy ponzu to enliven the tuna flavour. But most regulars will come for the flambé dishes such as Hog-Mohawk on fire (MYR72.80). Preparing the dish by the table, it makes the dinner an enjoyable experience.
Neighbourhood gem to enjoy ur favourite steak. Reasonable price at only RM120/100gm serves with mushroom and potatoes. 😋
And it's with that last one in mind that your friendly neighbourhood Foodgae found his way to Meatology, several steps away from Artisan in TTDI. Overall verdict? Lovely food with some occasional missteps, and lovelier company (@hooikhaw and @fatboybakes who are splendid dinner companions). We go into a bit more detail below:

Proceedings started with a very healthy yee sang that was more salad-y than expected. Was alright. Nice tuna sashimi, octopus, jellyfish, pork cracklings (lots of work) etc but @simon.eat.travel did a fantastic one recently at EDM (Emily's Dinner Mingle) that will be very hard to top. Next came the flaming crabmeat soup, which was lovely. Just lovely. Rich, sweet, and robust, it was flamed with brandy and we couldn't get enough of it. Well, I couldn't.

The "sea treasures" packed everything from abalone to clams to scallops to brandy to truffle oil, on top of glass noodles that ended up soaking and absorbing the wonderful broth. They tasted incredible, as you can probably guess. Squiggly squid (ugh) but the scallops were spot-on and pretty much all the other parts worked well individually and collectively. And the pot barely left the table before the smoked duck risotto plonked down. The lap cheong was an absolute delight. The smoked duck rivalled it for star status, with a perfect understated smokiness trickling in at the end of each bite. Rich, deep, and subtle all at once. Fantastic. BUT I do have a gripe: the arborio rice didn't have the sort of bite I like with my risotto. Was a bit too soft for me. And the waxed duck was too salty. And yet, even factoring all those in, it's hard to speak out too much against this dish because it really was pretty damn good. Which is more than I can say for the blue eye cod salted egg thermidor thingamajig - that unfortunately was overcooked and overly meaty. Win some, lose some, I guess. All dishes considered, Meatology plants itself firmly in the Return basket.

Visited Meatology in TTDI after we brought our dog for a long walk in DesaPark City. We were starving and there’s no way for us to head back home first to drop our dog and go out again for dinner. So we Googled for pet friendly restaurant and found that Meatology in TTDI is a pet friendly restaurant and bar that actually allows your pet to sit with you inside the restaurant!
Service here is good i would say. My dog was also starving and I brought her kibbles but not her bowl :( I asked the staff if they could lend me some bowl to feed my dog and they happily lend me one :) Our dog were also allowed to sit on a high bar chair, for us to be able to eat with a peaceful mind.
We ordered their snacks called Poisson Pork, basically is caramelized, deep fried siew yok and garlic served with pork skin. This dish is the bomb I would say (although the picture doesn’t tell you so). Crunchy, roasty flavour and the fragrance of fried garlic cloves. For our mains we ordered fish and chip, and carbonara pasta. The carbonara was nothing to shout about, whereby the fish and chip was kinda disappointing. My boyfriend ordered that and found that the deep fried fish were still smelling fishy, an indication that the fish is not fresh. We called the staff to notify them and offered to replace the dish. We got our new batch of fish and chip which taste slightly better (and no more fishy smell), but I would say the taste is still not that great.
Overall: Most probably won’t come back here anymore although they are one of pet friendly restaurant in town :(
