Lucky Chicken Rice (Lucky Plaza)

This chicken rice shop located at 2nd level of Lucky Plaza, usually full house on weekend lunch time.

But they have an efficient system and team that manage the crowd here, so you usually get your foods pretty fast upon order.

I went for the individual set that comes with a plate of chicken, rice, vegetable and soup.

Tender chicken and boneless. A great find in Orchard.

Used to really like this chicken rice, to the extent that I would have 2 bowls of rice in one sitting. Standards have dropped tremendously. The roasted chicken was really dry and tough, while the rice was so soft it was almost mushy. The rice also lost its aromatic fragrant, and is now quite bland.

Brought my friend here and I was embarrassed because of how unsatisfying our meal had been.

Had some tasty chicken rice to satisfy my cravings. The chicken here is very tender and juicy, and I love that their soup is boiled from real chicken and melon, not some msg concoction.

Steamed chicken rice SG$4.5. It's a decent place to eat lunch. There are a lot of nice elderly waiters and waitresses who escort you to the seat:)
