The Mixed Platter that came with Grilled Pork Cheek, Pork Skewers (Moo Ping) and Lemongrass Chicken is a crowd favourite as well. The Moo Ping are tender, juicy and flavourful.

The Premium Tom Yum Soup features a Collagen Broth which took 12 hours to Prepare. Comforting and shiok!

We also tried the Thai Style Omelette w Crab Meat and was pleasantly surprised with how crispy this was and the eggy fragrance that came with each mouthful but most importantly, unlike your typical thai omelette that you get elsewhere, the ones here are not overly oily.

Another dish that we particularly enjoyed was the Thai Kangkong with Squid. The crunchy vegs tossed in a garlicky spice dressing topped with squid that were cooked to perfection, a must have here!

The Basil Pork was indeed one of the ones that we enjoyed; flavourful without being overly salty, this was really delectable with the garlic bits that were fried together with the dish. Top this off with a bowl of white rice and you get a comforting meal to warm your soul and tummy.

With the Christmas and New Year season dawning upon us, are you looking to host your small group gathering at home? Look no further than @chiangmaithaikitchen_amk for a satisfying and filling meal!

We had a small gathering at home and were treated to a sumptuous feast of the following dishes:

Moo Ping ($3 each)
Fried Prawn Cake (From $8)
Thai Claypot Prawn Vermicelli ($20)
Minced meat Omelette (From $8)
Fried Kang Kong (From $7)
Tom Yum Soup (From $8)
Thai Basil Pork (From $8)
Fried Pork Belly (From $8)
Phad mama (From $7)
Tom mamuang (From $8)
Green curry chicken (From $8)

And can I just say that every dish hits the spot?! I was really impressed by everything that was delivered to us. The signature dishes, Moo Ping and Prawn Cakes, were really good. The Moo Ping was well marinated in the sauce that coated it and each bite was a mouthful of tender and juicy pork.

But I think they should also label the Thai Claypot Prawn Vermicelli as a signature as well! Their version was done so well that even when we had it cold, it still tasted extremely delicious. The vermicelli was very flavourful and is good just on its own. But the huge prawns that came with it was a bonus too! I will definitely head over to the eatery myself to try this dish at its piping hot best. A must order!

The dish that shocked us the most was the Phad Mama! I think because we were just expecting fried instant noodles, our expectations were quite low. But with the myriad of ingredients that it was tossed with, the noodles soaked up the sweetness of the ingredients, making it very flavourful! And the texture of the noodles were just right as well.

I also love how the Tom Yum soup was not overly spicy and was a very pleasant drink that helped to whet our appetites throughout the meal. The green curry is also a good dish to order with rice.

It has been more than a year since I last visited Thailand and boy do I miss the place, its people and most definitely, the food. I have always made it a point to avoid ordering Phad Thai in Singapore due to the sheer number of times that I have been disappointed but not anymore, the Phad Thai here at @folkscollective instantly sends my tastebuds and me back to Thailand!

Helmed by 4 talented chefs hailing from the Land of Smiles, it is no wonder that the Softshell Crab Phad Thai ($18.90) here as well as most of the many dishes that we have tried hits all the right spots! While we were here, I also observed that there were quite a number of Thais visiting the eatery as well; now, you can be assured of their authenticity!

Apart from the Phad Thai, some of my favourite dishes here include:

Steamed Squid With Garlic & Lime ($23.90); cooked to perfection and with simple ingredients, it is choke-full of flavours while ensuring that you can still taste the freshness and sweetness of the squid
Chef's Fruit Salad ($18); part of the CNY menu, this medley of fruits accompanied by a Thai sauce is super refreshing and helps to clean your palates in between dishes
Spatchcock Chicken ($24); if looks could fool, this is it! This ordinary looking grilled chicken is packed full of flavours due to it being marinated in a blend of corainder roots, garlic and fish sauce before it is grilled to perfection. The method of cooking is spot on as well as it helps to lock in the juices and make the meat super tender, must-try!

We also had the pleasure to try some other great dishes like the Yellow Coconut Crab Curry ($15), Royal Kapi Rice ($15), Pork Belly & Long Beans ($20) as well as desserts like the Ice Cream Kati ($6.90) and Red Ruby ($6.90)

We had the Basil Pork with Century Egg, Claypot Tang Hoon with Prawn, Phad Thai, Clear Tomyum Seafood Soup, Deep Fried squid w/ Thai chilli sauce, Thai Style Kang Kong, Deep Fried Pork with Garlic, Mango Sticky Rice and Red Ruby.

From the plethora of dishes we had, my favourite would be the Tang Hoon! It was very flavourful and well executed. The fried century egg was something I have never tried and I think itā€™s quite interesting! @foodkingnoc good indeed! The Kang kong was great too!

However, their deep fried items were overly done, imo. The pork was really tough and lacklustre while the squid was overcooked.

But overall, a really decent meal! And I would want to dine in at the place to have the food freshly cooked and piping hot which I suspect would elevate the tastes of the dishes.

The prices are very reasonable too! Head over to @87justthai to check out their menu.

Some of the dishes we had were:

- Tom Yum Soup; I usually don't order Tom Yum Soup when I have Thai food as it is always super spicy but this one has a perfect balance of spice and sourness; 10/10 will order again.
- Pineapple Fried Rice; Hands down one of the best that I have had; don't ask why there is no option of chicken or seafood, etc.; this is the authentic way of having it!
- Thai Red Curry; This is extremely flavourful and goes super well with white rice with its thick, creamy texture. This is vegetarian friendly!
- Prawn Cakes; A good appetizer dish, this! I dont like the taste of prawns but gladly slurped this up; it also brings back childhood memories for me!

In addition, we also had the Thai Herbs Fried Chicken Wings and Thai Style Stir Fried La-la; the latter being the best-selling item.

This is definitely one of the better Thai Eatery I have had in a coffee-shop setting. The owner-chef, Jem, is super friendly and very passionate about his craft.

Dodgy mall with nice food around, dodgy places always seem to have nice food around! Wonder if there is a connection between the two šŸ¤” .
The pork belly was an unintentional order but turned out to be the best dish of the day! Crispy yet retaining its juices within, this was delightful! The tom yum here is also manageable in its spice level. Should have gone for pork instead of chicken for the prad kra pow instead though but not bad nonetheless.

Finally somewhere in Singapore that serves cheap and good thai food in Singapore! The food here is cooked to order so you have to wait a while but it's worth the wait. Your food comes steaming hot to you! The pad krapow came with a strong hint of basil but did not overpower the dish and the saltiness of the meat blended nicely with the fluffy white rice. The runny yolk of the egg was a delight too! The green curry was also not as strong as expected but complemented the rice really well and the chicken meat within was flavourful and tender. A cheap and good thai fix overall! .

Can't wait to fly off to Bangkok next week for the real deal. Any suggestions on where to head to? ā—”Ģˆ

Went to a boat noodles stall to eat... rice šŸ˜‚ I think the food here is a bit on the salty side, although the steamed egg is pretty good!
