🍴Can’t believe it’s already been a year since my last visit but returned for these affordable and delicious burgers. Soft and fluffy buns sandwich generous portions of proteins.
Decided to try their more unique offerings over the usual beef or pork. Highly recommend the 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 sandwiching a huge grilled dory. Succulent and juicy with lightly charred edges, the savory fish was nicely balanced out by tangy tartar sauce, crunchy bell peppers and zucchini, and creamy cheese.
𝐀𝐲𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐮𝐚𝐡 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐤 was a richer rendition with the keluak nut and rempah mixed with chicken and chapchye. Found it more one-note and would have liked for a stronger kick or some form of textural contrast but a hearty burger nonetheless.

Juicy beef patty with melty cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, jalapeños, lettuce and tomato in a fluffy homemade brioche. Hearty and satisfying bite.
Was always a fan of this humble hawker store and so happy for their return, now with a fixed air-conditioned space of their own. Quality remains the same as 2 years back. Prices have gone up by ~$2 (rightfully so) but remain highly value-for-money given the generous loading of ingredients. Their menu has also expanded to introduce desserts and a range of craft beers.
Soft and fluffy buns sandwich perfectly grilled meat emitting smoky goodness. The classic beef was hearty with sweet-sour homemade tomato sauce and refreshing crunchy pickles. Sliced pulled pork was flavourful, with brightness from the citrus lemon mayo. Would have preferred had the cheese been grilled rather than just added on at the end for a more creamy bite. Do pair the burgers with their well-seasoned and addictive hand-cut fries ($2.50).
Sitting in front of the grilling station left us constantly drooling at the burgers. Will be back to try the others on the menu! P.S do make a reservation beforehand or wait up to 30 mins for a seat.

𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤 which was a breaded thick and fibrous soy patty, similar in texture to a chicken katsu. Enjoyed the pairing with candied pineapple that added a sweet-sour tang but found the overall bite a tad dry. Could have done with more chipotle sauce and coleslaw.

The 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 meat was juicy and tasted similar to typical beef patties with their special sauce. Personally found it too heavy that needed acid/sour pickles/fresh vegetables to cut through the grease.

If having to choose, would still go for our usual choice of 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 for that more satisfying balance over the garlic roasted mushroom burger. Still highly satisfying with the fluffy buns sandwiching a juicy burger patty, and crisply coated portobello.
The 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 ($12.50) comprises roasted garlic mayo, fried shallots, butter sautéed garlic mushrooms, cheese, and a beef patty. This made for highly flavourful bites with distinct garlic aroma. However, the lack of greens/ tomato combined with heavier components resulted in a greasy burger. Also found the shallots to not be as crisp as we would have liked. Likely suits those who enjoy richer flavours but personally found it difficult to get through alone.
Until 15 oct!

🍴Delicious burgers at a relatively affordable price! Their tender meat patty, paired with caramelised onions and a fluffy and soft buttery bun, made for juicy and delightful bites! The wagyu version was juicier while the truffle mushroom version added creaminess, although we would have liked for slightly stronger truffle aroma and more mushrooms in the latter. If nitpicking, we felt like the meat could do with more char/ smokiness and for some greens to provide a refreshing balance. All things said, this was sufficiently a solid burger.
We would also recommend adding on their shoestring fries for +$3. Thinly cut and super crispy, they were well-seasoned with (what we guessed were) salt, paprika, pepper, and garlic.
As part of their new opening till late (10.30pm), they also offered a Happy Hour promotion for all their 60+ beer labels. This meant we got to try a whole range (over multiple visits) of craft beers at an affordable price. Our favourite new find was the uniquely refreshing coconut beer from @drifterbrewing.

🍴First had these a year ago during Circuit Breaker’s special $10/burger promo and glad that they’re now part of Meatsmith Xpress self-pick up specials. At $10, they’re a steal for the generous portions (think two slabs) of meat.
We were undecided on which we preferred between the cheeseburger with its double patty and brisket burger with its smoky charred meat. While the potato bun was adequately fluffy and soft, we wished for both meats to be more juicy and tender. The overall bite was on the drier side and could probably do with more sauce.
Overall, not anything fantastic but definitely worth it at the current price point and highly satisfying.
