An unassuming outdoor BBQ place that serves up really good grilled prawns, meat, salmon, among a really wide variety of dishes. Went for the buffet option which was $49.90++ per pax; great for people who are looking to fill up their tummies at an affordable price in Bukit Timah. Staff were also so helpful, despite being busy. Appreciate the service!
La Savoir offers a delightful experience of French cuisine in an exquisite fine-dining setting, accompanied by the elegance of Hermès dinnerware.
The Butter Board features a trio bread selection accompanied by three types of butter: French sea salt butter (rich and creamy), Japanese furikake butter (rich with umami), Shrimp butter (slightly spicy and salty). I also got the Truffle Chicken Ballotine (pictured) which was so juicy and tender, and had a good range of taste and texture with the creamy butternut mousseline and pickled carrots. Overall a wonderful dining experience! Will be back again.
If you’re looking for a steakhouse near Botanic Gardens (Bukit Timah exit), I highly recommend Fat Belly. The steak was flavourful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Also love that the wagyu had just the right amount of marbling. The other dish that really stood out to me was the Toasted Sourdough starter — bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Complemented the pesto in the Burrata Caprese perfectly!
Meadesmoore offers up an extensive dinner menu with unique dishes like “breaded pig’s headed” and “spicy pig’s ear”, but the highlight for me was definitely their steak selection! We got the Rump Cap and the Zabuton, which were cooked to medium rare perfection — tender, juicy and paired well with Borderlaise sauce 😭🫶🏻 apart from the steak, other must-try dishes include: maitake mushroom and the smoked-ox tongue. If you’re overwhelmed by the menu (like me), you could also try their Chef’s Select ($138) which comes with 2 sharing plates, 2 sides, 2x200g of beef and a dessert!
If you’re looking for Asian comfort food in a bar, Fu Lin’s where it’s at. I especially enjoyed the XO carrot cake and the beef sukiyaki (which comes with a raw egg dip) 😋Will come in the day time to try the fried ampang-style Yong Tau Fu 🙌🏻
Dropped by Dumplings.ru to try something different! The staff there were helpful and friendly — they noted that it was our first time here and brought out a menu explaining the different types of fillings that were in the dumplings. My favourites were the beef and the lamb ones! We ordered the combo platter which had 12 dumplings ($19.90). Good for sharing and trying out the different flavours! I also really enjoyed the Salmon Cheese Crepes which had smoked salmon and cream cheese stuffed into the slightly sweet pancake ($12.90).
