小 Atas (limpeh bo lwui) 💸

These are the food I’ll probably only try once in my life. Not because they aren’t good, but because I’m not at the stage of my life where I can splurge on these every weekend, even though I want to. Keeping them here for the day I become ‘rich enough’.

Bf and I ordered 1x 2 course and 1x 3 course set lunch. For starters, we ordered falafel and the duck soup. The former is a MUST - it’s crunch, healthy and filled w veggies! Duck soup was meh - Chinese restaurants can do it better. For mains, we ordered the chicken and salmon. The latter is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Salmon just melts in your mouth and is so fatty and juice, with the rice that taste like briyani??? The chicken came with a nice dipping sauce on the side but the veggies was too salty - not recommended at all. Finally we had the chocolate mango cake for dessert. One of the best cakes I’ve ever eaten in my life - nicely presented too 🥰

A bit out of the way - more convenient to drive in and if you have a car but the ambience is great! Get away from the city and view people riding horses in close distance. Drinks and sides were alright. Calamari was a tad too fried but truffle fries were good! A bit on the pricier side as well.

Finally tried the infamous BSK by GORDON RAMSAY at MBS! They give you an assortment of breads (really hard western kind, not the soft kind you are used to in SG) as a complimentary starter - probably already included in the GST fee and overall, the service and ambience makes up for the food. Ordered eggs benedict which looked too small for the price, but damn the sauce was so heavy and made me feel damn full afterwards! Would not recommend the chicken wings either cuz of the sauce.

Overall still a good experience and will definitely try something else next time 🤪

Tbh, unagi anywhere will always be expensive so this was actually pretty worthwhile - considering how unagi makes one full easily and although it doesn’t look like there’s a lot of grilled eel, you feel really full finishing the meal! 😍 loved it, always craving.

Pricey! Thankfully it was a treat by my manager after ending my internship so I enjoyed the meal 😍 lots of greens and miso soup was oishi.

Had the chance to try this cuz my friend had a free voucher for their fish so we only paid for TOP up ingredients such as veggie and meat to add to the mala soup base. We ordered the small fish (U.P. $45++ I think) and it was just right for 4 ppl but only if you order other ingredients too (typical mala ingredients)!

Fish was not the best (cuz it’s grilled and no flavour on its own) but the mala soup omigosh so freaking strong, flavourful, hearty and good! Though sinful 🙈
