People no longer descend on Luke’s Lobster like mobsters! The Q here can at times be up to 2 hours! Taking advantage of a freak moment at 11:30 am on a Sunday when there was NO ONE queuing, we went in. We each had a ‘trio’ and a lobster bisque. The lobster roll was above average; the crab was a bit overwhelmed by the taste of the butter spread; my partner says the shrimp roll is not as satisfying as the seafood ciabatta at Délifrance! The bisque was good but minuscule for an outrageous $12.90++. At over $50 per pax, we were still hungry, so went to the Food Republic food court in the basement for noodle soup and chicken wings at $5 per pax. The location for this outlet is also wrong. Tai Tai’s may fork out such an amount to sit in the middle of a lobby at ION Orchard, but not in a corner of a department store with zero privacy, little comfort, and no Diet Coke!

I am not going to Q for an hour to have a burger, so ordered takeaway. The double shackmeister cheeseburger is good, although it would have been more balanced to have some green, either on the side or inside. The fries are way too salty. Is this better than McD? Definitely. How does it compare with Omakase Burger at Wisma? Same same, although the seating at the latter is a bit better. If you’re willing to pay more, than Hans im Glück on the other side of Orchard Rd is one notch above, but it’s still just a burger joint and the burgers are still not the best in the world...
