Saaawaaadeeeekaaap!!
Friend raved about Gu Thaiโs boat noodles and managed to try it!! Got the pork boat noodles and honestly I really liked it as well the broth was thick and savoury the noodles were chewy (just one downside the pork was very meh, but no complains). Other than that I enjoyed the $1.90 bowl of goodness v much! Other dishes were satisfactory as well!! Portions are rather huge, maybe a shout-out to the pork with garlic that was super flavourful (& slightly salty)!! Def not my top places for thai tze char but boat noodles highly recommended :-)
One of my rare unplanned meals, because the place that I had intended to go to was closed during dinner and I didnโt have time to go somewhere else so this store on the same street it was.
I was shocked at how similar the menu was to Nakhonโs, I think itโs almost exactly the same ๐ So I went for tanghoon phad thai, something I always ate at Nakhon last time. These were decent, nothing to nitpick about. It was nicely fried, noodles didnโt clump, with a pretty generous serving of ingredients. Itโs - good option for a quick, no-fuss meal :)
What a pleasant surprise!!!! I really donโt like white rice but this was worth my grains of rice!! For its price, the portion is huge - both the rice and the chicken. At first glance, I was afraid that the chicken might be too dry but no ehh despite the lack of sauce, the chicken was actually very very flavourful and juicy! I tried the grilled pork which my friend ordered and it was so well seasoned too (just that some parts are rlly quite fat). Will eat again!! ๐
Went there on a weekend afternoon with a friend and it was not crowded at all!! (She said itโs usually crowded during dinners sooo) but the food is really affordable and yummy!!!! I enjoyed the basil chicken a lot and i think itโs a close fight to what I rmbed from naakon. But the seafood in the tomyam soup didnโt feel fresh (sadly) and it was mehhh :-( still enjoyed the place and I will def be back to try other dishes :-)
