Have always wanted to try the Crunchy Cocoa Milk tea from their Crunchy Milk tea series, as it looks pretty ✨aesthetics✨
But after trying it, I conclude that you’re really paying for the aesthetics haha. It’s pricey at $6.80, and the chocolate that they used to line the cup in the middle and the base is those kind of cheap milk chocolate (for a lack of a better description) which solidifies at the bottom below the cold milk tea. The drink comes with a spoon, presumably for you to scrape out the chocolate at the bottom. Crunchy bits are a nice touch but it gets soggy after awhile, definitely not for those who like to sip on their bbt!
Worth a try but wouldn’t buy this again, not worth my calories 😬
This place is affiliated with Yaowarat Thai kway chap, Ng Kuan chilli pan mee and Joji’s Diner! Very affordable brunch fare at wallet-friendly prices.
What’s on the table:
• Breakfast plate ($9.90) + add-on bacon ($2)
Comes with baked beans normally but I requested for no baked beans. Everything on my plate is good! Very worth and value-for-money. But that being said, as someone who has dined at Joji’s Diner before, I’d say that Joji’s All-Star Plate is better in terms of the scrambled eggs (better seasoned) and the french toast slices (comes with maple syrup).
*Note: Be prepared to have cash in your wallet, as this is a cash-only establishment. Some waiting is to be expected as well, as seats are limited
My boyfriend and I were looking for something affordable for dinner and came across this café! Menu is pretty extensive – all day breakfast, western mains, rice bowls, pastas and baked rice.
What’s on the table:
• Rock Honey Chicken
• Thai Chilli Fish rice bowl
• Mushroom Bisque
• Garlic baguette
Everything was on point ✨ Especially liked my rice bowl, it tasted very homely and the breaded fish fingers went so well with the sweet thai chilli sauce. This entire meal cost ~$25 for us both – which is really quite affordable considering the location! Students can get further discounts as well. If you are on a budget and would like to have some good ol’ western fare without breaking the bank, this café is the place for you 👌🏼
Came here for a coffee run and have some nibbles for tea break! What’s on the table:
• Matcha Strawberry
• White (hot)
• Truffle fries
Have heard about the Matcha Strawberry and it definitely did not disappoint! The strawberry really elevated the flavour profile of the slightly bitter matcha latte – it seems a little bit creamier and with a hint of strawberry sweetness! White was good as well although the serving size could have been bigger. Truffle fries – decent café fare, shoestring fries used although it did get a bit oily for the fries at the bottom.
Would come back again to try out the brunch items!
What’s on the table: Ebiko Prawn pasta, Truffle fries, Beef chilli Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Cold Brew Mint Chocolate
Ebiko Prawn pasta was surprisingly yummy! The tagliatelle pasta gave a really nice bite and the complementing smoked fish cream wasn’t too overly cloying. Grilled tiger prawns were also very fresh!
