marinated meats — we chose duck, pork intestines and cuttlefish. clean, flavourful and fresh tasting ingredients, a straightforward dish executed well. a must-order at imperial teochew.

enjoyed a Sichuan-style Christmas with this set. the set comprised a lovely mix of fresh, spicy and sweet flavours in decently sized portions. special mentions include the crunchy lotus roots, bamboo shoots, whelk & pork belly slices. all in all, quite delectable small bits in a beautiful packaging.

this was really scrumptious—the crispy, perfectly deep-fried prawns were coated with creamy wasabi aioli for a bit of heat, and then topped with beads of tobiko. prawn was fresh and juicy, and wasabi seemed rather fresh as well, with a heat that elevated the flavour of the dish rather than being overpowering. probably one of the better renditions of deep fried wasabi prawns out there 😛

these were stir-fried squid ink fish noodles! noodles were chewy and soft, almost resemblant of fish cakes. squid ink flavour wasn’t too strong or overpowering. the noodles complemented the vegetables and scallops well. overall, a really unique dish!

very unique dish, nothing quite like anything i’ve seen before! taste-wise, it was slightly underwhelming; charcoal flavour was barely discernible.
overall a pretty decent meal, peking duck was crispy and really succulent — the hallmark of a good chinese restaurant.

had a lovely dinner here. all the dishes were well-executed with balanced flavours and decent portion sizes. very unique, authentic shanghainese dishes not easily found in singapore. one of my favourite, if not my favourite, chinese fine dining places in sg.
must orders:
- smoked duck with tea leaves
- sauteed shrimp with honey pea in black truffle oil (though a bit pricey)
special mentions:
- lotus root stuffed with glutinous rice
- pig’s ear
- roast duck
- red dates stuffed with glutinous rice 👍🏻✨

a quality dining experience at crystal jade, with a blend of traditional and unique dishes. meats were all well-executed and well-flavoured.
the highlight of the meal was the beef cubes with foie gras sauce & garlic. the beef was really tender, bursting with flavour and fried to perfection. the beef is definitely a really good cut. one of the best beef cubes i’ve ever had 😍

duck skin was crispy and delightful. comes with the usual condiments and toppings as well as a few unique ones, such as mango and plum sauce (though i preferred the regular hoisin sauce). wrapper/pancake is steamed and kept warm. pretty satisfactory rendition of this popular dish.

the skin was so perfectly crispy while the pork was tender and juicy, with a layer of fat that melts in your mouth. couldn’t have asked for more! their other selection of barbecued meats (honey glazed pork collar, roasted duck) all did not fail to impress as well. jiang nan chun really executes every dish flawlessly; though pricey, the quality is definitely top-notch. an amazing dining experience.
