Great dining experience with very friendly service. Felt like it was a fine dining place.
If you can, request to sit in the outdoor area on the second floor as that had a slightly nicer view.
Enjoyed the tiramisu. Good, robust flavour, without the baileys being overly powerful.
They also serve bread as a starter.
Will come again.
Enjoyed my meal here.
Nice relaxed atmosphere where you can watch the pizza chefs prepare your meal.
Service and food were great.
Had the calzone which had nice chunky tomato sauce, and stretchy mozzarella sauce.
Ample parking is available, but will be hard to get to via mrt.
Spicy arriabata pasta. A tad bit oily, but generous amount of sauce and seafood. As with the other pastas ive tried here, prawns are always fresh and juicy.
Fyi this place is halal
Pizza crusts were stretched very thin, and had a nice stretchy bed of cheese.
Would have preferred a bit more smoked duck, but cant complain at the price.very good value.
Nice chill atmosphere too. Try to make a reservation because the place was full on the weekend we visited!
Burpple beyond has chicken or the pasta option. And i'd recommend you get the samyang pasta which has a nice blend of spiciness and creaminess.
Dont expect bacon in your carbonara. Instead you'll enjoy Juicy and succulent prawns which will burst in your mouth.
We also had a bowl of mushroom soup, and having croutons in there was a pleasant surprise.
This place is halal certified too.
8 dollars a slice is slightly pricey, but its still better value to eat here than to order a snack from one of the food carts around the park.
Nice vibe too, does bring out the whole "American" vibe when you are in the new york section of USS.
Pizza was decent, well stretched out thin crust.
Ordered the hawaiian pulled pork pizza ($24+) and was not disappointed.
Nice experience to eat pizza crust made from sour dough instead of regular dough. The generous toppings of mozzarella blended well with the tomato sauce.
However the other mains were pretty normal. Had the rib of fire (beef ribs) (32+) which was a bit too salty. Note that the fire doesnt refer to it being spicy.
A pity we couldnt use the burpple 1 for 1 for the pizzas.
Plus point that this place doesnt have service charge!
Chorizo Pizza ($18 Nett)
Have ordered 7 of their flavours and have always been satisfied.
Especially enjoyed the honey bacon pizza.
Chorizo pizza was very fragrant, with nice juicy slices of chorizo
Do note this place only has take away. Call in advance so theres minimal delay when you pick up.
Smoked Salmon Pizza ($28++)
Loved how the chunks of smoked salmon were so thick and well seasoned. Having capers on the pizza was a nice touch too.
However, the crust wasnt the thin wood fire crispy sort though. Felt it was a bit too chewy for my liking.
Ask to sit inside as the acoustics are much better. Outside can get a bit noisy and warm.
Spaghetti Hokkaido Scallop with Myoga Tobiko Wasabi taste ($27.90++).
Very interesting dish as I've never had wasabi in my pasta before. However, what stood out was how juicy the scallops were. Each scallop had a nice char on the outside, yet was juicy and not overcooked. The presence of the tobiko also ensured each bite was bursting with flavour.
Tagliollini Scampi with Cherry Tomatoes ($27.90++).
Pasta was alright, with the tomato base pretty standard. Would recommend their cream based pastas instead which were richer and tastier.
Must point out that the prawns which accompanied this dish were huge and easy to peel.
Love that this place serves bread and breadsticks as appetisers. Made us feel like we were dining in Italy!
Ricotta Ravioli in Truffle Cream Sauce ($23.90++)
Loved how the ravioli sheets was well seasoned without being too soft or hard. done al dente, and not too bland. Filling was decent, but the star of the dish was the rich truffle cream sauce. You could smell the fragrance once the dish arrived at our table.
Didnt get a chance to take a picture, but we also enjoyed the Hokkaido Scallop, Squid & Herbs Pizza ($24.90++) which came with a very generous amount of toppings which complemented the cheese perfectly.
